March 2010 onwards: Material Engineer Abudhabi precast

As a material engineer in the largest Precast factory in the region, I have gained experience in mix designing for various Precast products like Hollow core slab, 3D Pannel, Sandwitch Pannels, Double T beams and prestressed beams and solid wall pannels. The maintaining the quality of raw materials and finished products are my direct responsibility. Fulfilling the ESTIDAMA requirement is my added responsibility.

March 2009 to 2010: Concrete Engineer Sogreah Gulf FZCO

Main Duties & Responsibilities are review and approve mix design formulae of the concrete and ensure the quality of each load of concrete delivered to the site for the Pre-Cast blocks for the Royal Yatch Marina in Al Bateen, Abu Dhabi. Witnessing and follow up trial mix and other tests for Quality Control of the materials done by independent laboratory is another responsibility.

November 2006 to January 2009: Material Inspector in CANSULT MAUNSELL | AECOM.

From August 2008 to January 2009: worked as JAFZA Approved Material Inspector in their project "Slip Linking Road located at Road 724 Jabel Ali". Main duties are Material Approval (including verification and approval of Asphalt Mix Design, Concrete Mix Design, Road base and sub base materials, Kerbstones, Paving tiles, etc.), monitor and approve the quality of Pavement layers from the formation level to Road marking, witnessing and follow up the tests done by independent laboratory.

From July 2007 to July 2008: worked as JAFZA Approved Material Inspector in their project "Widening the Existing Road between R/A 6 & R/A 5 and Light Vehicle Exit Gate Parallel To Sheik Zayed Road".

Main duties were as above.

From November 2006 to June 2007: worked as a Ministry of Public Works and Housing approved Material Inspector in their Project "Maintenance and Dualization of Khorfakhan - Dibba Road".

July 2005 to November 2006: Material Engineer in Geoscience Testing Laboratory, Dubai, a leading material testing laboratory in UAE. Well versed in the testing of Asphalt, Aggregate, Soil, Concrete, Kerbs and pre-cast, and Geotechnical studies as per BS and ASTM standards.

July 2004 to June 2005: Lab Technician in Darwish Engineering, Ajman, U. A. E. The nature of work is to maintain the site laboratory and carry out the testing of the materials for the ongoing projects as per BS and ASTM Standards accredited by the local Government.

July 2003 to June 2004: Technician in Hydromagx Technology Group FZC, Sharjah. The work involved is monitoring an R & D Project Experiment on treatment modes for various water profiles.

January 2002 to March 2002: Worked as Trainee Lab Technician in Darwish Engineering, Ajman, U. A. E. The work involved is to analyse the samples brought to the Material Testing Laboratory and have acquired sound knowledge of Soil and Aggregate related standard testing practices and able to manage all laboratory and field testing activities

INDIAN EXPERIENCE:

April 2002 to June 2003: Geologist in GAIA Info Systems Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala. The main duties include giving Geological Support to their various projects and carry out field checking of the accuracy of the data.

June 2001 to December 2001: Assistant Geologist, Department of Mining and Geology, Govt. Kerala. The works involved include regulating the mining activities in the district of Pathanamthitta and to study possibilities and impact of natural calamities in the district. As a competent authority to issue license for mining activities in a district, Asst. Geologist has to assess the quantity and quality of the mineral to be mined from a site and the environmental impact of the mining activity.

July 2000 to May 2001: Geologist in GAIA Info Systems Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala. The main duties include giving Geological Support to their various projects and carry out field checking of the accuracy of the data.

September 1997 to June 2000: Associated with Centre for Earth Science Studies (An Autonomous R&D Institution of Govt. of Kerala) as a Project Fellow in a Dept. of Science & Technology sponsored project. In connection with the project, extensive field work and textural analysis of the sediment samples from Lakshadweep Islands were carried out. Proficiency in using GPS and Echo Sounder for Hydrographic Surveys were acquired during this period.

October 1994 to April 1996: Associated with Centre for Earth Science Studies (An Autonomous R&D Institution of Govt. of Kerala) as a Project Scientist. During the period of investigation, detailed field work and Lab analysis were carried out for Geotechnical, Geological and Geomorphologic mapping of Idukki and Kottayam districts. Acquainted with various geotechnical methods for evaluation of the soil profiles and familiar with all the aspects of terrain evaluation needed for an environmentally fragile area like Western Ghats.
