Squid Card or SQard

I'm not sure where to start on this, but one day I got the idea to make a membership card when I was writing on Squidoo. I'll chalk it up to Steve Thompson who made the Squidville etc type lenses for inspiring me! I will also include a giant Thank you for helping me with images for this page.

This lens may make its rounds to some of you (as I wanted to make it a collabrative effort) if you think of a story (or just part of one, to start or anything else that would fit within the topic then please suggest it and your ideas or request me to send the lens to you (& you just send it back to me)

The card I thought is a great Idea for posting in lensographies or even just the about me section where one cannot see all the badges. The card summarized your awards & accomplishments, as well as clubs.

The commercials say it can be used for EVERYDAY life, work, shopping, play and so much more! SO let's go test it out!

I went to work and slipped it into the machine to clock in, to show I arrived. Some of my co-workers (Squal & Quell) wanted to go for lunch together next door to the Sqidbucks. I treated with my SQard, we ordered 3 grande drinks, and a a couple of Sqodiva death by chocolates they had in the case (& no I was not sharing a slice! If it's Sqodiva i do not share. you'd be lucky if you get away with all your tentacles!) With the break being over we went back & signed into work for the rest of our alotted time.

After work Squal, Quell and myself went to Sqish a local all natural body products shop. Used my Sqard to get my preferred customer card points & discount and out we went. Then we went to pick-up our Squid of Squeal movie tickets with the card= I got a Discount, plus points, a free medium popcorn & drink. On to the New art gallery and museum to kill time before the Movie. There's an exhibit on The Norse Vikings and That lost Egyptian city that no longer is. They were able to pull out some of those huge statues and such. ::Shows the card at the door::,turns out I only have to pay a donation (instead of per head), plus a coupon for a free gift from the gift shop (this card is AWESOME). So with the same card paid a donation for one of us. After an hour of looking around, it was 30 minutes before showtime. So we walk back over to the movie theater, to find decent seats and just talked until the previews started. During the movie an actual usher came down (you certainly don't see those anymore) and brought a refresher to my drink!

After the movie which was good, we all went to the Corals & King Fish (Barnes & Nobles) book store which the book that comes with the card said you get 25% off of the books, and that would also be on top of anything on sale. So being as I didn't read Sqocolate War in school as I was supposed to but seemed like a cool book to read when it wasn't being forced on you I Got that, also the last 4 books I needed for the Black Squid Brotherhood series, were all already on sale for 25% off, So I got 50% off of my order plus I was given a gift card of $25, and one of their totebags (of my Choice) free! Which one would I want Grey Box tote as well as a free journal of my choice.

So let's see... I've used it as a work ID, Credit card, Preferred Customer Rewards card, membership card.... What else is there.

We'll have to go to a sporting event & try it as the ticket, library card, oh yeah even though I don't.. driver's license, Emergency/Medical card.. but we'll just go to the doctor to see what goes on with that & ask about emergencies as the Card benefits book does not mention everything! I know I get at least 1 free consultation for a specialist, a private room (no additional charge) if I have to stay over in a hospital, and much cheaper medication if I have to pay antyhing at all. Need a chance to use it as my business card! Hopefully someone will recognize me and ask for a card! Free Surfing lessons at any beach, 1 free party pie from Squizza Pizzaria.

Any tickets I get while driving go onto the card, medical records etc to make everything easier, sports, movie etc tickets, go directly on the card until I pick up the printed version (if I want one). One more thing I need to test this out, is a concert... it gives backstage access for you and at least 1 guest (if you are not on the list, but if you are 3 friends may accompany you)

Where would I want to go when vacation comes? Not sure if I want to go through a travel agency or book it all myself. I guess I'll have to call up & find out & inquire about what the benefits for the card are. I would like to try England, Poland,Russia, Norway,Sweden, & Iceland, Australia, Ireland & Scotland, Maybe Hawaii it may be part of the U.S. but I can't help but see it as another country.

Have to start getting people to send in word we want a keychain or some little swag (maybe items for $1-$5 or a 'swag' bag with stickets, Bumpersticker, keychain, bookmark, & button for $5-10 ?!

It would be nice to buy a shirt (esp in something other than the white or Blue I've seen. I don't mind the blue I just can't wear white) they can be a different design from what ever they send for contests, & whatever levels get a shirt etc. (Heck if you get it for being a certain level Giant squid it should have the number & type (50 =Monster Squid)

Maybe instead of just having the award badges on our profile they can have stickers or 'girl/boy scout type partches we can get (or are automatically sent) when achieve it & can put it on our shirt or some form of cloth item. (Tote bag, shirt, hat, any other ideas?)
