Who is B Lemley?
Who is B Lemley?
Who is B Lemley? Well "B" is short for "Bev," and since I am short, that sort of fits!
Wanna"bee" photographer, writer, beginning watercolorist, bird watcher, wannabee singer/songwriter, daylily grower/hybridizer, Carolina beach and mountains lover, mom of three, five grand dogs, six grandchildren and, oh yes, retired transcriptionist of 27 years.
I have to add a few more key words to this list, just because without him, my world would be very different ~ and that is wife of a very special man. He has cerebral palsy, and to know him and to see how he overcomes obstacles not just every now and then, but every day, is something you can't help but be inspired by ~ and I have been for over 35 years now.
But at the top of my list, over everything in my life, is my love for God and the precious gift I receive from Him every day ~ my daily spiritual journey and faith walk, studying the Bible and scripture, learning how to live my life following God's will. He is my sole director and my soul protector!

My inspiration! - To the top!
Even with many physical limitations, my husband made the walk up the top of Mt. Mitchell, North Carolina, the tallest mountain in North Carolina. To the top was a steep walk from about a fourth of a mile from the top ~ while I was able to walk and look around, he had to watch every step. I am in awe of his undaunting spirit. The soaring mountains in the background serve as the mantra he lives.
I hope the things I do in life reflect this inspiration and love for all things beautiful and worthwhile in life.
A Few Things...
A few things that I enjoy ~
wouldn't you?!
Sunrise at the beach... - ...a beautiful wake up call!
Hi, Mom!
This is one of my daylily hybrids, the result of a couple of years of work and a LOT of my husband's help and encouragement. Since we're empty-nested, I have to have something to nurture! So hybridizing daylilies has become a very fulfilling part of who I am. When I saw this one blooming, I whipped out my phone, called my mom, and said, "Hi, Mom! Guess what's in the lily patch?!" I registered this one as 'Hi Mom'; fitting, don't you think?!
I love to watch the birds... - ...of course, being watched BY the birds is cool, too!
I love an enchanting garden! - Dancing flowers showing off nature's beauty ~ definitely enchanting!
A favorite treat! - Ice cream at...
Goodberry's Frozen Custard!
This is a favorite treat we both look forward to!
Who am I?!
I am daily inspired and encouraged by someone who is inspiring to everyone who knows him. My perspective comes from knowing and loving and being influenced by this special one in my life.

I'm a trouble-maker, too!
Yes, I have to watch everything I eat, making sure it doesn't contain gluten. What a hassle! But after years of trying to figure out what was wrong, my husband suggested going gluten free for one day. So we bought a few GF snacks and it only took the first snack, realizing my usual stomach ache didn't hit ~ hey! There just might be something to this gluten free stuff.
