Secret Place in my Garden

Sometimes you just have to get back to nature; sitting under the Myrtle Trees to quiet your soul and to adjust your focus!

Learn to listen to the Spirit within:

As most of you are aware, I have been abstaining from Social Media and some of the daily News since August 13, 2017 and told you all that I would see you in September! Well, it’s September and my 21 Days of Renewal has yielded some Wonder-Filled God Nuggets with New and Old Lessons to be shared.

Learning to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit is a daily
“walking” lesson, and sometimes HE will say “Stop here a while, I have something to share with you.” That’s what I heard around Noon on August 13 that prompted my post that day.

Many have asked what happened to cause such an abrupt stop on all social media.

Short answer: I learned a long time ago, when the “stuff of Life” begins to pile up, it’s time to step back for a moment, breathe, and I know that it’s time to Guard My Heart to insure that my focus is on HIM (Jesus) and not the stuff of life.

  • Proverbs 4:23 Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flows the springs of life.

Predator and Prey

This hawk was in our front yard and allowed me to be within 15 feet of him while he was working on his prey for the day.

Day One: Predator and Prey

At Quarter of nine on the Morning of the first day of my “Renewal Period”:

  • First sight I saw was; hawk grabs his prey in the middle of our Front yard.

Question I heard from the Holy Spirit:

“Why did the chicken become the Hawk’s prey?”

My answer: Because the neighbors had become “Predictable” with letting their chickens out each morning at the same time each day.

  • Predictability is what every Predator looks for when hunting for the daily catch of the day.

Even the enemy of our souls is “seeking whom he may devour” through our own predictable patterns and habits that we have gotten stuck in.

  • Predictability Leads to becoming a casualty of war between Predator and Prey.

Predator verses Prey

This hawk didn't care that I was watching, nor was he concerned that his catch was a bit larger than he was.

My lesson:

I had become predictable within my own Spiritual walk. Which if I had allowed myself to continue without a “Time Out” would have tainted my perspective about the situations going on around me and my Spiritual growth would have been stunted for a time at that point.

Point to Ponder:

When faced with a multi-tude of attitudes and emotions during any given situation that life can throw at you, you must beware of being SUCKED into that miry pit of despair.

Such is the case that I see going on now with the CRAZINESS of long gas lines, and jacked up pricing. Those of you that have gotten SUCKED into the LIE that there is a shortage of gas are simply casualties of the Chaos that hurricane Harvey has left behind.

STOP NOW, look around you and be thankful for what you do have, and STOP worrying about what you MIGHT lose because of what has happened elsewhere.

Because in the end, what you will Have Lost is your Peace of Mind and your Trust in God to take care of you through whatever DOES happen.

  • Adjust your focus to the Goodness of God and Carry On!
