4 Major Places for a Great Nursing Career

Nursing career is one of the most sought out career in the current scenario and a lot of openings are available for those having a nursing diploma certificate or any graduate certification. Most of the people choose nursing as a career due to the fact that there is a lot of money involved in terms of salary. Most of the western countries pay huge packages for those having qualification and experience in nursing.

India is a cradle for a large number of nurses as India has a wide range of universities and colleges that offer nursing diplomas and degrees. Majority of the nurses get a small amount of money as salary if they work in India, where as they would be paid a much huge amount for the same work in any other foreign countries. So once they pass out from any nursing colleges, they have to pass through their share of struggles in India before start making some decent money from their career. Once a nurse has gained enough experience, then he or she can think about moving abroad for a better career opportunity.

Some of the major places where one can go for a nursing career are given below.

1) Gulf / Middle East Countries
One of the most common region where most of the nurses try their luck is in the middle eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Muscat, Doha, Qatar etc. It is better if once get a job in the ministry, as they would be getting better payments and all other benefits that a nurse deserves. But before starting their career in these countries, the nurses need to make sure that they have all their certificates attested from the respective Embassies.

2) European Countries
Another major place where the nurses would like to have a career in nursing is the European countries such as England, Ireland, Germany and Italy. These countries offers pretty good packages when compared with the gulf countries, but the expenses are way too high. One must also qualify tests such as IELTs and other nursing bridging programs before kick starting their career in these countries.

3) America
The United States and its adjoining neighbour Canada is another major area where the nurses tend to go for building their career. To get a job as a nurse in these countries, one has to pass certain hurdles such as English language test, nursing related tests etc. But once you pass this you can dream of a great career and life in the US. But these days US seems to be too over crowded by nurses which has somewhat reduced the demand for nurses.

4) Australia and New Zealand
Australia is another potential country where you can enrich your nursing profession and career. Of late most of the nurses are trying their hands at Australia as it is considered as one of the best country to work and live. In Australia also you have to clear IELTs and other nurse training programs before starting your career. The nursing programs are aimed at making a nurse equipped to work in Australian hospitals and there are many institutes that offer nursing bridging courses and other courses. The institutes that offer health education in Australia must be cross checked thoroughly before getting enrolled. Same is the case with the neighboring country New Zealand which has a lot of good offer for aspiring nurses.

      I live in New Zealand and am studing health science this year and starting my first year of a BA of Nursing Course next year. i know a few nurses here and they are extremely over worked and underpaid, resulting in ALOT of nursing going on strike. Australia is the best if you had to choose between the two countries for working.
