Adulthood
I tell you something, when we were at school we learned things but not all of what we were taught do we remember, but do you find that since leaving school we have learned more in our adulthood than childhood.
Its strange but we have learned other things that school could not teach us I don’t mean the sexuality side, I mean common sense and life in general and what to expect in the real world apart from discrimination and bullying, there is bill paying, keeping a job and dealing with stressful situations such as moving, divorce, marriage and birth and friends who are real friends, keeping a house and raising a family of your own etc.
We seem to adapt better into adulthood from childhood and we are more interested in the conversations that we have on knowledge and other things now, that would have bored us in our childhood. We listen more actively and take note to what the person is saying and then reflect on that conversation when were in a similar situation.
Some adults who learn now at colleges and university take in more of the topics they are studying and find that it seems to stick better in their head easier than in their childhood, you find yourself asking questions and being more in the zone and confident in the class to ask these questions, but when you were at school you would be silent in the class because of persecution etc for taking an interest.
You may not realize that you do this but its true we do learn more now in adulthood than childhood, and that is a good thing. I believe life is one big class room of learning and we will never graduate from it because no one will know everything on everything that is impossible. So when your at work or at home working out a scenario or your in a conversation, spare a thought to what your actually doing, because your teaching yourself by listening.
