Bird Seeds for Bird Feeders
I do not want to say that birds are seed slobs. I probably couldn't do any better if I had to slam my mouth into my food to consume it.
So, the seeds scatter across the rail of the deck, and sometimes, the seeds fall into potting soil in the plants that live on the deck
See, the sunflower seeds have germinated. One grew into a sunflower plant, complete with polinated seeds, and then, there was a storm and it snapped off.
Upon thinking about the whereabouts of the sunflower flower, I find that I do not know it may be on the ground below the deck, or perhaps something took off with it. I will never know the truth...
We have a small deck out our front door that my hubby designed so we could sit quietly in the deck and watch birds fly around.
It's peaceful. It probably lowers blood pressure. I can feel my anxiety level drop.
Earlier today, we did notice a creature perched on the rail, delicately perched there like it was supposed to be there.
I have a lemon grass plant, and apparently this creature was taking some to build a nest, somewhere (my voice trails off to a low whisper)
So, (whispering, continued) it may be a rare species of dogbird, maybe even, the only one of its kind.
It's so exciting!
