Can You Really Trust Your Life To Your Doctor?

Flaky Doctor?

I was in the laundromat one day, and who was on the T.V. , but this guy...Dr. Oz. As I listened to him, I got pretty angry, because here he was having a Q&A session with his audience. One woman stood up and asked him about Psoriasis. As he began to explain what it is, he said, "Psoriasis is the result of a problem with the immune system." He went on to explain that it manifests externally on the skin and looks like a rash or causes dry, scabby, or flaky skin that may be red or white in color."

After explaining what it was, he then proceeded to tell this woman about treatments for it. At that point he mentioned that one could purchase creams and ointments over the counter to counteract the visible symptoms shown on the skin. What angered me? Not one time did he bother to mention any type of treatment to treat the cause of the problem, which he himself said was the immune system.

What Is Myeloma?

I was disgusted and started telling this to the woman sitting next to me, who, as the conversation progressed, I discovered she had cancer, which was in remission. Upon further inquiry, she told me she had a form of myeloma, the description of which is below.

Multiple myeloma (from Gk.myelo-, bone marrow), also known as MM, myeloma, plasma cell myeloma, or as Kahler's disease (after Otto Kahler) is a cancer of the white blood cells known as plasma cells. A type of B cell, plasma cells are a crucial part of the immune system responsible for the production of antibodies in humans and other vertebrates. They are produced in the bone marrow and are transported through the lymphatic system. Due to the fundamental nature of the system affected, multiple myeloma manifests systemic symptoms that make it difficult to diagnose. Myeloma is generally thought to be incurable, but remissions may be induced with steroids, chemotherapy, thalidomide and stem cell transplants.

Informed Decisions

These doctors had told this poor woman, that she was strong. How can anyone even think they are strong, if their body is fighting off a disease like cancer? Just the fact that they contracted that disease or any disease in the first place, signifies a weakness in their system, not strength. This woman looked haggard and worn. Yet simply because her doctors said it, she believed it.

She completely trusts in their word, and does not seem to recognize that they have only put things off. The cancer she had will return because it was not properly addressed. It's just not profitable to the medical establishment to actually be a catalyst for real healing. If everyone got healed, where would their business be? How would they make a living?

Additionally, they told her that her immune system was strong. Look again at that definition of Myeloma. She had bone cancer, and her doctors told her that her immune system was strong, but she had too many white blood cells in her bones, and that this is what caused her cancer. I tried to explain to her, that her immune system could not possibly be strong if this was the case, but again, just because her doctors said it, she believed it. I'm sure she never even bothered to research it at all, as I found that definition above easily on

I spoke to someone else that is closer to me about the same thing, as this individual was dealing with cancer as well for a short time last year. But once again, this person put their life and complete faith and trust in their doctor's word. When I asked if he had done any research on the subject, his remark was, "Yeah, I read the book my doctor gave me."

I'm sorry, but reading the info your doctor provides does not quantify as "research." Your doctor is only going to provide information that supports his position and the treatments he recommends. He most certainly is not going to give you information on other new and/or healthier alternatives, because how does he profit by sending you to someone else, his competition? It's dangerous for you to become educated as to the alternatives, because your informed decisions will ultimately affect his bottom line.

Can you tell that I'm bothered by this? Sure I am, because once you become educated and can see the deception of the establishment...of the system against those who are ignorant of it, it makes you angry. When you can see how people's hopes are squashed because they are lied to and mislead, it is infuriating. You want to educate and inform people of what you've discovered; the fact that there are more alternatives out there; that there are other ways to get the results they seek, and that they don't have to be deceived into an early grave.

Your Body's Defense System

Your immune system is your first line of defense against invaders. It's your body's army. If your body is overloaded due to the American lifestyle and processed, toxic foods, then your liver (your body's filter) becomes taxed and sluggish.

Have you ever used a water filter on your kitchen faucet? After a period of time, you have to change that filter, because it becomes clogged and/or useless, because too many toxins have been trapped in it. It is the same with your liver, but you can't trade your liver in as automatically. So your best option is to feed it a proper diet and keep your immune system healthy.

If your liver is not fed properly, it cannot function well, and your "army" is dispatched from your liver. Then your K (killer) cells will move in slow motion, because they are overwhelmed by too many toxins. It's like your internal army is attempting to wade through quicksand, and warriors are falling off or falling through one by one. This then leaves your body wide open to attack.

If someone has an excess of white blood cells being produced, then that's a signal that the immune system is compromised and malfunctioning, because there is not supposed to be an excess of either the red nor the white. God created us as beautifully balanced beings. It is our excesses and lifestyles and this toxic environment that has been created by both, that puts our bodies in jeopardy. This woman, and thousands of others like her, are lied to daily by an establishment that makes a profit on sickness, disease and human suffering.

Are you sure you can trust your doctor?
Are you sure you can trust your doctor?

People say all the time about how they have a good doctor...he really cares. I'm sure he does...he cares about the long term profitability of treating your symptoms of disease, while never actively attempting to rectify the one system that would heal you. He probably has a great bedside manner that he's worked on you to encourage your faith in his every word, but do you honestly believe in this American, greed based system of capitalism, that he is willing to cut his bottom line to save your life?

Perhaps a bit of education will help you make more informed decisions. I mean think about it. Your "army" is made up of blood cells. Your army is molecular, so if your system is breaking down and is weakened to the point that sickness and disease has become a serious threat, that means that molecularly, you are having issues. So how is it possible that the medical establishment attempts to treat anything outside of the realm of the molecular?

Remember that disease is carried in the blood. This is why scriptures mention draining the blood from an animal prior to preparing it; because disease is carried in the blood, even if the disease has not manifested in the animal.

If the problem, which is within the immune system, is rectified at a molecular (blood) level, doesn't it make sense that the body would then heal itself? It was created to heal itself, but if the one system that would activate that natural healing is compromised, how then can the body do what its programmed to do naturally?

While I agree that cancer is a fungus and can be eliminated if treated as such, the problem is still not addressed, because the immune system is still overlooked even in this eradication process. If the immune system is not treated and raised back to powerful fighting levels, then the above treatment is mute and void, because the same conditions that caused the cancer to occur, will happen again; and this is relative to any and all diseases. The immune system is crucial to our health and well being. Without ensuring the protection that the body needs from the immune system, any and all attempts to fight disease is essentially wasted.

I agree Sunshine625. It irritates me that people are too lazy to be more proactive about their own health and investigate alternatives. I can understand the affordability issue on some of the more expensive treatments, but not every method is that expensive, and most people follow a treatment based on what their doctors say, as opposed to doing a little reading and investigating for themselves. Plus, I'm a massage therapist, so I don't hold much stock in western medicine, which says cut first, ask questions later. Thanks for the visit. Peace & blessings.

Excellent article! No, I don't think you should really trust your doctor to save your life. Most doctors are just routine textbook...they are content with the knowledge they have and don't keep up with the latest studies and findings. If they learn to step out of the box once in a while maybe then they could serve their purpose. We are the only ones who truly know our bodies. We need to be the ones who fully explain our symptoms and never, ever take no for an answer. I could go on....I'm just disgusted with the medical field at this time.

Great hub! I actually can't stand doctors and only go for testing but not really for treatment. Again, they only wanted to treat me with harmful drugs/surgery and believed what has only been taught from their medical books. They gave me no other options and told me that I had no good choices in treatment options, I ended up developing my own treatment for my autoimmune disorder and have been in remission, working on curing, for almost 7 months. They never address the underlying problem and it just infuriates me!
