Deer Fly Don't Bother Me - but They Do
Smashed Deer Fly
Deer fly are common this time of year when you live near a slimy water source, like the slough of Madison Lake, or a beaver pond.
They are a streamlined, almost pretty fly, but they are hostile. When they attack, it apparently sometimes feels like they are drilling a hole.
No. It is worse than drilling. They apparently have a razor mouth and actually slice your skin off to bleeding and sip your blood.
An Un-smashed Dead Deer Fly
It looks like a hand grenade. With wings. Like an activated pokeman creature.
Where there is one, there are many. They don't seem to like a certain type of bug spray.
