Funeral etiquette involve some simple guidelines to be followed in a funeral ceremony. It you are aware of these etquettes you can be comforatble in the ceremony and prevent yourself from any embarrassing situation. This post covers different aspects related to funeral etiquette.

You need to have a lot of courtesy while interacting with the people as they are in grief. Again apply some common sense at funerals like switch off your mobiles or pagers so as to avoid any distractions. Make sure that you are not in hurry and arrange sufficient time to attend the funeral ceremony. You should let the family members of the deceased to visit the grave before you. You can refer to the instructions of the family members so as to avoid any haste. You can show your sympathy to the family by simply writing a personal letter expressing your grief.This can make a lot of difference to the people who have lost one of their dear ones. You can also contribute help by small services. These include babysitting the children for others members or sponsoring flowers.

The best way to contribute in a funeral is giving proper time to the family members of deceased and listening to them. Make sure that you remain in touch with these people even after the ceremony, as they will require the support and bonding so as to become normal again. Finally you also need to dress as per the occasion. If the family had advised you to dress according to particular theme, you should follow it. In case you had not received any such instructions simply wear sober dress. Remember that funeral etiquette simply requires some common sense and all you need to do is to show some respect,courtesy and sympathy for the family members of the deceased.
