Flat Earth Theory, Is It Real?
What we have been told
Until the year 1519, there was no solid proof that the Earth was a sphere, only the basis of visual perspective.
In the year 1519, Ferdinand Magellan traveled around the world by way of circumnavigation. What this means is, Magellan sailed on a ship all the way around the Earth until he made it back to his starting point, proving that the Earth is spherical.
What the "Flat Earth Theory" is
Long ago, before scientific advancements, people believed that the Earth was a flat disc, floating in the middle of the ocean. The belief was that a dome was cast over the flat Earth to protect us from "Outer Space".
Flash forward thousands of years to today.
The current idea of the Earth being flat is spreading like wild fire. Celebrities, politicians and social influencers are coming out in massive amounts to say that they believe the Earth is flat!
"Flat-Earthers" believe that our earth is a plain, surrounded by the Antarctic circle of ice. The ice is what keeps the water on the Earth. It is believed that you can, with proper technology, look from one edge of the Earth and see all the way to the other side of the Earth because there is no curvature to our planet.
