The Small Things of God

Updated on April 3, 2012

We all take BIRTH on this planet.

At that time, we are about 18" to 24" in length which is about ~2 feet. How BIG does it feel? It's SMALL, very SMALL.

Eventually, this baby evolves to become a 5'-6" person. This person whose brain was as small as a pea when born, has eventually grown and changed the world, MAGNIFICENTLY!

Ponder on this...

We have that spark in us, which lighted up where ever we went or whatever we touched. That proof can be seen around us. We have flourished amazingly and have landed on planets which were once posters in our rooms. We, who were once SMALL, have grown up to be BIG and STRONG and as SMART as can be. I am sure, the Almighty must be so proud of us minus the some things that we, as man have messed up on.

My message here is that, just as when we were born; we were fragile and humble. The same way, we have to always realize that we are "still" the small things of God and be humble and try to follow the path our creator has set.

When we were small, we were always asked to hold each others hand and cross the road. We were told that the path will become simpler and easy to cross IF we are humble and use our Please, Thankyou's.

Now, that we all are grown up. We can still follow that advice. Hand in Hand we grow, hand in hand we will flourish and hand in hand we will gain the confidence to stride ahead in this life!

We are the children of God and no matter how TALL we grow; we will "still" be the Small things of the Lord!

      Hi Ruchira,

You are quite the philosopher with your hubs. These thoughts are good ones and should help keep us grounded in what is most important in life. Compared to eternity, our short lives on earth are like the blink of an eye...maybe not even that. We are all children in the eyes of God. Up votes and sharing this!

Yes you are right. We are very small compared to nature. It is not about the size. A person may grow tall but his thoughts may be small. Its all about our mind. How big is our thoughts. Great hub. Voted up.

OH Ruchira, I always need my Father God to help me and lead me. In those times I let go of his hands I fell like a rock. Thank you so much for the reminder. I always see God's hands reaching out, a beautiful thing.

God bless you my sweet friend.

      Hello Aupadhyay,

Thank you for agreeing with me. I truly feel that no matter how BIG and IMPORTANT we become; we are still those same children of God thus, have to learn to be modest and true to ourselves.

Thank you once again for stopping by!

Your views are right Ruchira, I have the same view in respect of God's creation. There are many more incidents taking place in day to day life of human being on which he or even the science can not claim that it be happened again or not. We can not create anything and never destroy it. All these are set to perform on the God's imagination. Over all very well written and appreciated a lot.
