How To Get The Most Out Of Your Day Guaranteed

Updated on August 11, 2010

Lets Take A Closer Look

What are you really looking for ?

More time to do the things you love ?

We have to eliminate the things that consume your time

First we have to list what we do day to day

To see where our time is spent

Then we can get a more accurate idea where our time goes

It sounds simple enough

Each day can be a little different and if we have to take the time to  keep tracking your time for a week or more

Then stop if you start to get board

Lets start out with one day and work from there

Remember if you  give up and not follow the things I tell you

You will be no better off than when you started

I will have lost my first patient

So keep an upbeat positive attitude as we see your time fly out the window

There are also Must Do things that know one can live without

I wouldn't dare messing with that

I would have to be insane

It is not practical and pisses you off

So lets write a new list of things that you die for

It could be going to the gym

Is 4 hours a day a little extreme  ? (just suggesting trimming the fat a little)

Watching every program that you have d.v..r'd

Is 25 programs a week sound a little extreme to you ? (How about thinking about it)

Now lets see what rocks you ?

What makes you tick ?

What lights your fire ?

What motivates you ?

Are you still with me ? ( till the end)

Hear me out

This is a practical approach to getting more out of your life

I know you hate to write

You have already told me that 7 times (no make it 9 times)

Think of your outcome

You are doing this for you not me

I have nothing to gain

Everything to loose if this does not work for you

So give it a college try (So what you have been out of college for 28 years)

or you skipped college completely to work for the family business

It is time to Dream up the schedule you would die for

Write it down

Day to day how you would like your day to go

Now throw that day away (what do I mean by that)

Come on we have to be a little more practical than spending 5 hours at the beach to work on your tan every other day

At least downsize it

Now that looks better

Lets work on what we have so far

We see where our time goes day to day

Where we waste time each day

Where we want to be

Where we have to be

We all like to think we can be retired and rich but lets put that on hold for just a bit

I am not saying that is out of the question just an option we can or might not be able to do write now

So moving on

Do you see where maybe the last 15 minutes of writing has helped you ?

You are more clear on your objectives and clearly can't hide anything under the rug

The rug is not big enough and  kind of old and dingy anyway

Moving on

We need some motivation to keep moving

Lets take a power break and refuel the mind and body and come back in a little bit

Talk soon
