Being Optimistic Person in a Pessimistic world
It is said that there is light at the end of every tunnel. None can be truer than this. Living in the world of today we always have to keep this thought well engraved in our minds.A society comprises of many pessimistic and optimistic people and all vacillate between their hopes and fears. With quick changing times however, we are now seeing a much stressful world with a number of pessimists on the rise.
When the hopelessness factor increases we see its negative impact ascend also. People who always assume the worst, people who mostly not feel so happy about the state of things, and the people who stay dark and gloomy not only hurt themselves but also add to the general stress on the environment around them. The question here in concern is how to bring about a healthy change in ourselves and what measures should be adopted to let go of the inner darkness, fears, and the pessimistic approach towards things. We can concentrate and discuss below on finding the few helpful remedies for the problem.
STEPS TO WALK TOWARDS OPTIMISM:
First of all we need to remember that hope is a good thing, and no matter what happens one must not let go of the inner light and the belief that everything happens for a reason and things always can change for the good. The inner faith is something that needs to be developed in times of hopelessness, gloom, and anxiety.
1. LET GO :
We have to reform our approach towards the state of affairs. In dejected hours, people mostly tend to develop the “why me?” feeling. We really need to work on it and bring about a change in our thinking that it is not only us .There are many people who have bigger issues and troubles than us. We really have to get over with the dark cloud that hangs over our head. Understanding the fact that world is not against you and you have to move forward without all the negative assumptions and perceptions is significant.
2. PAST IS PAST :
Another important thing which we must keep in our mind is that whatever has happened in the past has been passed. Now we have to move on and it is not necessary that any bad happening in the past will stay the same in the future. The stories always do not have bad endings. We have to move forward and look ahead with a clear bright eye of both mind and heart.
3. DO NOT LET PESSIMISM CLOUD YOUR JUDGEMENT:
Those who tend to get hopeless in the trying times must not let the pessimism reign over them. They must try to develop within themselves that being positive has its rewards and they have to look at life through an appreciative eye. Focussing on the good aspects of life, the nice things it has to offer is important.
4. MOTIVATE YOURSELF :
Whenever a person is feeling down and lost in bad state of things, the best thing to raise your optimistic side is to motivate yourself. Reading inspirational quotes helps. They make you feel good and remove your fears about yourself. Not only this, they help you stay positive and you learn a lot deeper things regarding the philosophy of life. Listening to good music is also a good option as it relaxes and allows you to keep a positive expression.
5: WHEN IT HAS TO GO WRONG IT WILL :
One of the most significant things to focus on is to make ourselves understand that when anything has to go wrong, it will. You cannot do much about it as there are certain things in life which are not in our control. But we can always strive for the better no matter what happens. This philosophy must be developed in our selves to stay optimist about life.
6: STAY BALANCED :
Last but not least is to develop a balanced approach towards things. Understanding that life is a combination of both good and bad is important. We have to look for the balance between the issues. One must not get down so much that it troubles to rise again. And also not become so optimistic that you forget completely about the low aspects of life. Being over confidently optimistic might hurt you. The bottom line is to keep a healthy balance between your expectations.
Life spends a great deal of time to drag us down. We must not let ourselves drown in the mire of feeling sorry for ourselves. In trying times we should look forward with a optimistic approach and leave all the pessimism aside by always keeping in mind the notion of,
“Trust your hopes not your fears”.
