The Great Courses

I just recently recieved a new sort of magazine in the mail the other day...

"The Great Courses: Great Courses Taught by Great Professors" (The Teaching Company)

This magazine is full of courses, including, but never limited to, Science and Mathmetics, Art and Music, Literature and English Language, Classics, Ancient, Medieval and Modern History, Philosophy and Intellectual History, Religion, and Economics.

Imagine attending the most interesting classes at America's finest universities- homework-free, tuition-free, risk-free and guarenteed! Just the pure joy of learning!

These lectures can make a difference in your life. From understanding the Universe, to Calculus Made Easy... These lectures are affordable, and anybody can purchase them. You also have the option to buy the DVD, or Audio book, it's your choice, but evidance is, the DVD's are a better choice. Each DVD covers many lectures on the subject you choose.

For example, if you were to purchase the DVD for Understanding the Universe: An Introduction to Astronomy, 2nd Edition, you would receive 96 lectures, (30 minutes per lecture) on one DVD. (Or Audio Book) for one small price.

Some of the lectures include:

1. A Grand Tour of the Cosmos

2. Asteroids and its Cousins

3. White Dwarf and Nova Eruptions

4. Einstein's General Theory of Relativity

5. Wormholes- Gateways or other Universes?

6. Quantum Physics and Black Hole Evaporation

7. Searching the Distant Galaxies

8. The afterglow of the Big Bang

9. Dark Energy- Quantum Fluctuations?

10. In The Beginning

...And so on, and so forth... Remember, there are 96 lectures for this course...

Does everyone know what E=mc2 means? If not, you could benefit from these courses. You can use them for better understanding, or to give yourself a "boost" on your college courses... Whichever your reason, you won't regret it.

Learning is a process of life. To not learn, is to not live. My biggest interest is ...EVERYTHING! And I could defenately benefit from these lectures. You won't get a degree, or a certificate saying you have graduated when your done, but the inner satisfaction and feelings of accomplishment would be enough for me. This is just MY opinion, but I think if more people were interested in learning, (without the desire to gain a piece of paper out of it) the world would be a better place. Education is an important part of one's life, and I believe we never STOP learning.

Albert Einstein was a genius. He was a prodigy. His works and teachings have inspired me to further my interest in learning, and I plan on learning as much as possible, about as much as possible. It doesn't matter to me if I get a "degree" or recognition. My desire, is to LEARN.

The thought of reading about The World's Greatest Ancient Discovery, or How Your Brain Works, or even Religion's Most Controversial Documents brings joy to me, just because I know I will learn something new. I wish more people had the desire to learn, as I do.

If you are interested in learning more, and interested in this magazine I speak of here, the website is:

Or you can call 1-800-TEACH-12 to request a magazine.

Just a reminder: In looking into this, you are opening a door to a brighter future, for you will be on your way to a better understanding of life, itself. This is a serious force in American Education, and it is said that The Teaching Company is the best value in college-level education today.

There are no tests... No grades... No homework... Just pure and simple learning, at any time, from anywhere.

I hope you choose to look further into The Teaching Company. You will only gain from it, not lose.
