Empowering Your SELF Today and Admit that "I Am Possible"
Impossible is Nothing
I strongly believe that every person doesn't matter if he or she, must have dreamed of becoming someone special or big (not in size, but in term of achievements). Who on earth that hasn't fantasized about being the one who hits the game winning homer? How many times have you dreamed of being successful and wealthy? Being with your most loved ones?
We tend to dream big dreams and have great aspirations but how many of us have actually achieved them? Are our aspirations meant for collecting dust in the attic?
This is really a sad turn of events in our lives, instead of experiencing exciting adventures in self actualization, we get caught up with the humdrum of living from day to day. What we concern most are those staggering bills waiting to be paid?
But do you know that life could be much more better if we learned to aim higher and shoot for the star. Instead of getting busy paying the bills, how many of us really sit down and designing the dreamed life?
One of the most common problem that people face in goal setting is the big world IMPOSSIBLE. When setting goals especially those big ones, most people get hung up thinking I can't do this, it's too hard and it's impossible for me. He or she can but surely not me.
Do you aware that every creation and discovery in the human history
takes root in the mind of people that never takes impossibility as the
reason for not succeeding?
The humble bumblebee is not designed
to fly. Scientists that studied the shape and physiology of the
bumblebee found out that it could never fly. It never meant to fly! But
how come the bumblebee flies? That's simply because it never realize
that it can't fly.
But look at us. There are people that suffer
from dreaming totally outrageous dreams but not acting on them. The
result? Broken dreams, and tattered aspirations.
If you ever
limit yourself with self-doubt and buy into self-limiting assumptions
that often fed to you, you will never be able to break past of what you
deem impossible. If you reach too far out in the sky without working
towards your goal, you will find yourself clinging on to your impossible
dream.
Breakthrough Impossibility
Now try this exercise. Take a piece of paper and jot down some of your
goals in life. Divide the paper into three parts which under the first
part, list down things that you know you can do. Under the second,
write things that you think you might be able to do. And the last one,
list things that you think are impossible for you.
Look at all
the headers and work on your mental power and see on how to accomplish
the goals under the part 'you know you can do'. Check them when you are
able to accomplish them - try projecting a time line. As you are able
to check all your goals under this heading, move on to the second
heading that reads 'you might be able to do'.
Now as all your
goals under the second heading are accomplished, move on towards the
last heading 'impossible for you'. Move the goals under this listing to
the heading of things 'you might be able to do'.
As you iterate
through this process, you will find out that the goals you thought were
impossible become easier to accomplish. And the impossible begin to
seem possible after all. You see, the technique here is not to limit
your imagination. It is to aim high, and start working towards that
goal little by little. However, it also is unwise to set a goal that is
truly unrealistic. You are just filling yourself with great burden that
later will surely kill yourself. For example, don't shoot for the
million dollar if you are not already earning at least a 500k per
annum.
Those who just dream towards a goal without working
hard end up disappointed and disillusioned. Believe me I have been in
that place and for the past five years of my life, I have achieved none.
Think
about this, if you were to told someone a hundred years ago that it was
possible for man to be on the moon, they would laugh at you. If you had
told them that you could send mail from here to the other side of the
world in a few seconds, they would say you were out of your mind . But,
through sheer desire and perseverance, these impossible dreams are now
realities. If they were to live now, they would laugh at their thinking
back then.
The famous inventor, Thomas Edison once said that
genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Nothing could be any
truer. To achieve your dream, you must work hard and be discipline.
Stay focus on your goals until you accomplish them. Take note that the
1% are big thinker and they don't dream small dreams!
Ask any
gym rat and he or she will tell you that there can be no gains unless
you are put out of your comfort zone. Remember the saying, "No pain, no
gain"? That is as true as it can be.
Don't trap in your self
imposed limitations. Break yourself of and work hard towards your
aspired dreams. As you move closer to your dreams, you will find out
that the impossible has just become a little bit more possible. And
when you reach that glorious point, it become I'M POSSIBLE!
So now dream on, my dear friend!
