Life always seems all too confusing to you and a majority of us. You cannot seem to figure out this puzzle that’s called life. Being confused and overwhelmed has become an almost every day chore or occurrence. But there are certain truths about life that you mostly don't have control over.

But maybe figuring out or trying to find this grand or magical answer to your life isn’t the key. In your everyday activities or existence in this universe or planet, you always seem to encounter the same boogeyman. You win some battles, you lose some battles, and it’s this never ending war that you’ve to fight.

A Stanford research explored the key differences between lives of happiness and meaningfulness. “The quest for meaning is a key part of what makes us human”, the researchers said.

Happiness was linked to being a taker rather than a giver, whereas meaningfulness went with being a giver rather than a taker. The unhappy but meaningful life involves difficult undertakings and can be characterised by stress, struggle and challenges.

However, while sometimes unhappy in the moment, these people-connected to a larger sense of purpose and value-make positive contributions to society.

Happiness without meaning is characterised by a relatively shallow and often self-oriented life, in which things go well, needs and desires are easily satisfied, and difficult or taxing entanglements are avoided, the report noted.

You know these facts about life but facing them dead in the eye is too overwhelming. Your avoidance is understandable but inexcusable; you cannot reach or move to the next level without facing and fighting the big scary monster. You’ll later realise that the big scary monster can actually be tamed.

So let’s check out these truths or facts one by one.

1. Scary Failure

You don’t want to hear it, yes it’s true you are going to fail in life if you’re pushing yourself or taking risks.

You did not take this journey of life to fail, but it’s just one of those things that you cannot escape from. Your family and friends have told you that failure is the big bad wolf that should be avoided.

But what that essentially means is that you shouldn’t take a risk or experience life. Even if you decide to do nothing, failure is one of those truths of life that everyone will experience in their lifetime.

According to Forbes, failure can and will happen, regardless of how awesome your work ethic is. The most successful people understand the reality of failure and its importance in finding success.

Hearing the words that ‘you failed’ or ‘you’re a failure’ are the last thing anyone wishes to experience. Your life feels like a big mess that can’t be fixed. You failed but you aren’t dead, that’s good news.

Failure is a truth that you must be aware of and live with. You can try to do some remedy your chances of failing by being prepared.

For example, you’re starting a restaurant, how you ensure that it doesn’t go to shit is by researching on a good location, best food to serve in that area and how to outwork your competition if any.

Be prepared but that doesn’t mean you’ve cured yourself from failure, you’re just aware of it and okay with it.

According to Entrepreneur, failure is not final, not fatal and not forever. Thomas Edison tried 9,999 different ways to develop a light bulb all of which failed---until his very next try. The takeaway here being that he did not let any single failure linger or last. He moved on.

2. Incredible Success

According to a Booker T. Washington quote, "Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome."

Success will definitely happen in your life, the measure of success really doesn’t matter. You succeeded and you should be proud of that. As you experience and live your life, you will do and encounter different things and people. What does that mean? You’re a success in that you live and breathe, you are alive.

You have various successes that you are proud of until this point in your life. You are definitely capable of replicating that same success in the future. So stop your worrying, if you did it once you can do it again.

3. Painful Pain

You know that it’s true; pain will be there as long as you walk on this green earth. These can be both physical and emotional pain.

The pain is real but what you aren’t supposed to do is try to bury it and pretend as if all is well. When you cut yourself with that knife, you feel the pain and don’t hide the wound or pain but try to fix it.

The pain will be gone as you bandage the wound and in a few days you are good to go. This is one of those truths of life that you wish you can avoid. But unfortunately it's not possible because if you are alive pain is abound to happen.

But unfortunately that isn’t what happens with your emotional pain; you hide it and try to ignore it hoping it’ll go away. You got to face it and accept that the truth of that pain.

4. Looming Death

You will not live forever, no one will, you got an expiry date and someday you will leave this earth to the afterlife. You are a mortal and as long as they haven’t created an immortality drug or serum, death will be there waiting.

You go through life believing that you’re invincible, but death can grasp and snatch you away in an instant.

You don’t choose the day you die or how you die; there is no negotiation between you and death. Realize that you cannot be on this planet forever but you can do something to increase your lifespan.

You’ve probably heard of this that it has become a cliche, a cliche with so much truth, live everyday like it’s your last. Be comfortable with death and realize that you’ve got one life to live, there is no do over or reset button.

5. Amazing Love

The all too familiar and cherished word in the universe, every human being wants it and wishes to have it. The love of family, friends, spouse, lover and even your pets, you give love and receive love.
