Not only this, a sleep deprived mind finds it hard to concentrate on anything. A proper required sleep for a human body is essential to keep your intellect sharp.

The process of analyzing, questioning and reconsidering is a best thing to do. This reflection on your thoughts helps you concentrate on all the nagging issues and the factors that stress you much in your life. With a little time focusing on what goes on in your mind helps a great deal in prioritizing and organizing your thoughts. You can learn which issue is more important enough to be dealt first and which is the one about which you should not worry much. This little time helps you free your mind and you feel less burdened and more relieved.

Going out, meeting people, making new friends and interacting with as many people as you can really helps in improving your mental capacity. You get to learn about new things and new ideas from other people thus greatly affecting your own thinking. I recommend practicing Transcendental Meditation, as it helps in reflection and positive thoughts. Personally i do not practice TM, but i plan to soon.

Good hub with great tips. I learned how much sleep deprivation can harm your thinking and memory the hard way as a raging insomniac so I can attest to that one in particular. Good job.
