Thanks for that. I like interesting things too. I reckon you would be a good team member on a British 'Pub Quiz'.

Incidently Durian Ice Cream is very nice. The fruit itself is okay if you eat whilst holding your nose and, rather like apples, there are many varieties so there is bound to be one to suit all tastes.

At my age I wonder if I have now had my share of swallowing spiders in my sleep? LOL

Wow, you found it--Asians find it a delicacy. Most westeners want to puk when they even catch a whiff of that prickly fruit. My husband says it reminds him of cat's vomit. Not very pretty and I can never eat any when he's around.

anglnwu "The edible flesh of durian emits a distinctive odour, strong and penetrating even when the husk is intact. Some people regard the durian as fragrant; others find the aroma overpowering and offensive. The smell evokes reactions from deep appreciation to intense disgust. The odour has led to the fruit's banishment from certain hotels and public transportation in southeast Asia." I found it on wikipedia.I had no idea about the existence of this fruit. Thanks for sharing that.

Interesting collections from all over the world. LOL--the one about Fred and Wilma--who could have thought?

How about one more or two?--In Singapore, it's illegal to jaywalk and you're not allowed to bring durians into hotels. What are durians? That's a question for you to find out.
