What about the Mayan prophesy!

Is it the end of the world tomorrow? Mayan calander says so. Is it true?

In the late 90's there were predictions of the world ending and one wise guy said, yes this world is going to end, but it will be a start of the virtual world. Very wisely said so as the mobile and internet traffic zoomed after this.

So is it the end of the world on 21st Dec'2012. Well, if people would have been Gods, then we could believe it to be true. Just go spend all your fortune today. Who knows what will happen tomorrow. However, today we already have much advanced technology and we are able to predict climatic changes, planetary path changes, asteroid movements etc. However, modern day science does not predict such an appocalypse due to any such cause.

Few of the saints in India have said it is not the end of the world in its literal sense, it is the end of an era. This could also mean changes in planetary structures which affect human minds directly and being about change in the thinking patterns. However, we have not yet experienced such a thing till now.

Still, even if the world does not see the change of an era now, it is not too late to realise that we are bringing this change very fast and putting an end to this world. We are already seen the climatic changes happening due to global warming and greenhouse gas emissions, use of plastics and other related products.

Although the earth has immense potential of providing us with innumerous products to meet our ends, we must realise how much should the exploitation be restricted to, to keep the earth in its present shape. We must realise the true effects of extraction and reproduction to be able to avoid the apocalypse that is predicted again and again.

I have written on this topic in my book "Temple of Destiny" also and I am hoping that we as humans do not do anything to destroy the earth for our short term gains. we must look at feasible renewable alternatives for every problem that we encounter in our lives, if we must save EARTH from seeing its day end.

Let us not depend upon prophesies, but be the predicter of prophesies ourselves.

As I said so. It did not end after all. But to save earth, we defintely need to do everything in our power to stop degrading the very essence on which the earth is built.
