Motivational and Inspirational Quotes and Living Through Life

Be Happy While Exploring Yourself And The Nature Around You

Have you ever crawled through a hole and found yourself in complete darkness not knowing if there’s an end. It takes courage to crawl through that hole, doesn’t it? It’s dark, cold and uncomfortable. I would rather be snug as a bug in my bed. Of course, I wouldn’t be here at this point in my life if I chose the comfortable path now would I and for that matter if I stepped up to the plate and pushed myself just a little bit harder I might be in a better position financially, have a different husband and ultimately a different child. I couldn’t even famine that.

Making any choice comes with responsibility even if we choose a path simply to eliminate burden. Life does not come easy. It doesn't matter what path you choose. If your choice was to live a simple life, and at the time of making that choice you didn't realize a simple life would mean so much hard work, are you going to throw in the towel. Your simple life, your choice, a husband/wife that truly cares for your well being and children you could love unconditionally. In life you can’t have it both ways. Walk down one path at a time together.

When you veer off into the wilderness you may find yourself lost constantly pushing the brush out of your way scrambling for adventure only to find yourself knee high in pricker bushes. The path you may choose may look green and lush, dry and appealing, but it could be over inundated with tons of mud, sticker bushes and large obstacles that force you to make turns or even turn back and reconsider your goal.

During those detours you may find yourself faced with more dreams and decisions. Finally, after much time walking, climbing and hanging on, through each changed direction you begin to recognize what’s going on and realize that through it all you are living your life with tweaked dreams and unexplored paths because you have not settled down with the goals that you made in the first place. Relax.

Again, your decision steers you to stay on the path toward that ultimate goal, that ultimate dream and again that ultimate goal can become clouded. The people and situations rain on you. You become heavy and burdened. These are the hardest times of your life. Picking yourself up from your boot straps and wading through the mud is your only recourse, so get to it. You'll be surprised where you end up.

Eleanor Roosevelt sums it up quite simply,

“You must do the thing you think you cannot do”

and her husband Franklin D. Roosevelt picked up where she left off stating,

Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort”

When dealing with life it's the little things that matter that makes the most impact on your future. Sometimes when you try to plan things out too long your life gets too complicated. Not that it isn't good to plan, but did you ever just wing it. The unexpected happiness is what you find in the moment when you are not looking for it. Sorta like when you are looking for love. Try too hard and you never seem to have enough, let it go and stop looking and as sure as God made green apples all of the sudden you have many options.

In life, if you do not ask for too much you will receive just enough to get by, you make out. Ask for the world and you'll be disappointed. Ask for a penny you are bound to get more, more than you expected anyway. If you really examine life, doesn't it get you high especially knowing one day it won't be here for you to enjoy forever? Either you'll vanish or it will, so even though it seems so impossible right now to live happy, why not try to get everything you can out life. While you are growing, asking and dreaming for things is natural. But, if you really think, "my life is not forever, it will end some day" you might just realize that you are living for one purpose? What is your purpose? What drives you?

Some people talk about life as if it's not all fun and games. Nothing is entirely fun and games, but if you are not out there playing the game you will never know the fun. By playing the game I mean getting on the merry go round. You won't be on it forever. When the time is right you will get off and explore what triggered the sudden leap of faith.

Remember when you were a kid how you got on the Merry Go Round and than got off when it stopped and you wanted to get on again and again. Each time you went around you expected more and more and more. The concept of life is the same. Don't read too much into it. Just get on and enjoy that ride. When the time is right you will jump off and explore your new deal.

Try something, anything; don't ponder over the outcome. If you consistently plan your future and ponder over what will be you will surely get confused, distraught and irritated and when that happens you will waist away by exploring things that are better left alone. Have confidence in yourself. You must take the bull by the horns by getting on and off the merry go round when it suits you, when something concrete is face to face with your destination.

My grandmother once told me two important things in the same breath, leave well enough alone, but if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Picking up the pieces can be tedious, sorting them out takes time and patience, but when it's all together again and no changes have to be made, the spoils are worth the cost of the hunt. The spoils, the beautiful things that your life acquires that you take with you and embrace till the day you are gone.

"If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it; blame yourself; tell yourself that you are not poet enough to call forth it's riches for to the creator there is no poverty and no poor place. And even if you were in some prison, the walls of which let none of the sounds of the world come to your childhood, that precious kindly possessions, that treasure - house of memories? Turn your attention there. Try to raise the submerged sensations of that ample past, your personality will grow more firm; your solitude will widen and become a dusky dwelling past which the noise of others go by far away."

Rainer Maria Rilke

They call her the Fruitcake Lady, an honest person that tells it like it is.

So kids of all ages if you are riding the merry go round already, get off your high horse when it stops and explore your desires when faced head on. If what you have found does not suit your fancy than get back on and take another ride. Remember, life is like a marry go round, staying on too long will get you dizzy. When the opportunity slaps you in the face get off, and do something about it. When the voice inside says its the way to go, get off and explore your options. There is no time like the present to make an impact in your life no matter how small. Every impact brings you closer to your happiness.

So, join me on the merry go round. I'll be here, just in case you want to get off once and awhile and share your experience. Happy living.

I agree in the aspect that Life is not about the final destination, it is about the journey we take to get to that final destination. We all have the choice of accepting the challenges with enthusiasm and hope, or choose to make it burdensome and filled with gloom. I wish everyone enthusiasm and hope on their journeys.
