Leisure Time

IELTS(International English Language Testing System) is the world's leading test of English for higher education, immigration and employment. Below are some sample questions and answers for this topic.

1. What do you usually do in your free time? How do you usually relax (in your spare time)?

-Since I’m a shopaholic, I usually spend most of my weekends strolling around Tianyi Square which is one of the biggest department stores in my city.

-I have many hobbies and most of them are ball sports. I usually play basketball or table tennis with my friends at least twice a week.

-I go to the gym a couple of times a week. It’s a great we to lose weight…as you can see, I’m a bit chubby….

2. If you had a holiday, where would you go?

-For my next holiday, I would like to go to Australia. I have always dreamed of going there to swim with the dolphins and meet beautiful blondes.

-Probably nowhere. I normally just prefer to stay at home and play computer games. I think that travelling is just too tedious.

3. Who would you choose to go with?

-Definitely my best friend. We would be able to have a ton of fun together without the supervision of our parents.

-Probably my parents since we would be doing things as a family…

-I would go alone. It has always been my dream to go exploring on my own with just a backpack and a map

4. Do you do things in your leisure time with friends or family?

-Usually with friends. I often hang out with my friends to have a meal or watch a movie. Sometimes we would also play basketball at the local leisure center.
