Preparing Your Mind for Success

Updated on April 6, 2016

My main motivation to get my degree is my family. They are the main reason for why I returned to school. I have always tried to prove to my kids that they can be anything they wish to be and by returning to school I am proving to them that it does not matter how old or young you are it is still possible to learn something new.

My main purpose is so that I can provide a better life for my family. By pursuing my college degree I will be able to get a better job in a field that I love. I will be able to make sure my family is taken care of and that they have everything that they need.

I am showing the values of responsibility, determination, persistence, and perseverance by seeking my college degree. I am determined to do my best and graduate with my diploma in the field I love and have always wanted to be a part of since I was a kid. I am the only one responsible for my destiny. My persistence in making sure that everything gets done shows my kids that it is possible to make something of yourself.

Being a mother of three very active children makes it difficult to find time to study, but I make it work. I find the time while they are usually in school to do my own classwork, or sometimes I wait till after they go to bed.

My husband to be usually is my strength when I feel overwhelmed. He is the one who is able to keep me focused on my goals and helps me to understand if I get stuck on something.

I returned to college. I have talked with my family, and they are very understanding and supportive. I do understand how online education works. I applied for federal aid to help with my college tuition.
