Rose Colors and Their Meanings
Roses are red...and many other colors. And did you know that the different colors of roses have different meanings? If you want to be sure and send that just-right-message with a rose, keep the following in mind.
Red
A red rose says "I love you." Red roses also signify passion, respect and courage.
Dark Pink
There is a difference between dark and light pink roses. Dark pink means thankfulness, elegance, grace and gentleness.
Light Pink
A light pink rose can also be grace. This color of rose also signifies gladness, joy, admiration and sweetness.
Yellow
A yellow rose is an indication of friendship. It can also give a message to tell someone they have a desire to start over or give a relationship another chance after a misunderstanding.
Orange
An orange rose means fascination, enthusiasm, energy or desire. It can also mean the celebration for an accomplishment or the beginning of a new venture.
Coral
A coral rose is similar to orange as it conveys desire, excitement and passion.
Purple
Give a purple rose if you have fallen in love at first sight. It also means enchantment or something magical.
White
A white rose indicates innocence, purity, reverence and humility. It also means sympathy and is often used at funerals or in weddings the white rose conveys spiritual love.
