Follow The Leader

Updated on May 27, 2010

Time To Rethink Our Thoughts

Remember when we were young

Anything we wanted

Could be done

Anything we did

Was so much fun

There was a game called follow the leader

Where the leader had all the power

Until the next leader came up

It didn't matter who

You were in charge without question

Lets take what we all do best

Help each other in life in the struggles we find

While teaching anyone who needs our help

Think back to our own experiences

Etched in our minds

When we were in school all the time

When all our teachers guided us through the years

Now it is the time for all of us to teach

We have learned our lessons well

Why not pass on the knowledge and the experience to the children who walk with hope

Drop all the differences we may have

Find the gift we cherish so dear

I call out to all the parents and loved ones

Start today to make the list

One that will change what we knew was wrong

Helping, sharing, giving, caring with passion and great pride

Let our words echo in the minds of the innocent and niave

We can all learn and have fun

Each day that passes

Looking for Happiness has never been so easy

Spelled out as simple as the A B C 's

Or counting 1 2 3

Look here for answers to any questions you might have

Let each person give helpful advice

No criticism please

To take the problems that make us squirm

Each person feel free to give their own answers

That has worked for them so well

We are applying solutions to the problems that we see

Together we are better than anyone who has tried before

Because we are now the leaders

Who lead for one reason

To make life better for all those people we adore

what were you like when you was a teenager, did you listen, i expect not..... when they grow up they listen to parents. If you want to get a message accross ask their friends to pass it on, they listen to friends

Tkumah why don't they see we just want to help and give them more than we ever had in our lives.I thought if you explained something simple enough they would relate to it.I have found they have no interest except in what they want or do.How can they be so blind to not care about others.I was never that way.

You can't make a teenager listen, all you can do is practice the teaching. By accepting the teenager as is, you can share what is change by being the example.

      Freedom to be me.
