Billy Graham Library - Experience the Life of the World's most Famous Evangelist

The Billy Graham Library, located in Charlotte, NC, is a tribute to, Billy Graham is one of the most famous Evangelists of our generation. His life and ministry span almost eight decades, and he is a powerful influence in the world today. In honor of his life his son, Franklin Graham conceived the idea of building the Billy Graham Library.

Mr. Graham was so humble, his feeling about the library was that he did not want anything to detract from the message of the Gospel. Indeed it was done in such a way, that honors God. I am grateful, it was done, as thousands of people come from all over the world each year to visit. The museum sits on the beautiful grounds of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association property, in Charlotte, NC.

The Billy Graham Library. Billy Graham is the most well-known and respected well evangelist in the world. He went from obscurity to notoriety because of his love of God and passion for bringing the lost to Christ.

The library is called the Journey of Faith because it takes you from his live as a boy on his father's dairy farm, his schools day, and the years he traveled the world and preached the gospel and hundreds of thousands came streaming down the aisles to give their lives to Christ.

The tour includes videos presentations and recorded messages by Mr. Graham and an opportunity to come to Christ, as Billy has done innumerable times.

The Bookstore is a great part of the Billy Graham Library. It is so beautiful, with its' warm wood walls and a wide assortment of bibles, bible study resources and gifts and souvenirs to be purchased as mementos of your visit there. You will also find personal items of Mr. Graham's encased in glass for all to see as though looking back in time.

I was especially amazed the letter Billy Graham has received that had no physical address on it. So was his fame and notoriety, the postmen knew just where to send his mail!

Billy Graham's Christian Worker's Handbook is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to share Christ with others. It has an extensive outline of how to address any issue you may possibly encounter when ministering to people.

You will have the information you need to help those in addiction, marriage problems, abusive situations as well as giving you information to help you counter any question that people may have about Salvation, healing, or restoration of their lives.

When you walk on the grounds of the Billy Graham Library, you are amazed at the beauty and tranquility of the grounds. Groups of excited Christians can be found walking, talking, sitting on benches or singing softly and praising God. It is a wonderful environment.

Snack Bar

The Graham Brothers Dairy Bar is the place where you can get homemade snacks like, Mother Graham’s chicken salad and The Billy Frank hot dog!

At the Billy Graham Library, one of the favorite attractions is, Bessie, the talking cow, who I must admit sounds like a southern black woman (not quite sure why); will tell you about life on the Graham farm.

Everyone laughs when she tells how she hated how cold Billy's hands were. Bessie is so life like, you have look twice to see if she is a real cow or not.

Not only the children, but adults enjoy this part of the tour.

Ruth Graham was raised in China as a child of medical missionaries. Her love for the country and its people was evident in her life and ministry.

The Bible in China Exhibit can also be seen at the library for some time. It took many years for God to open the bible to China.

Christians are still watched very carefully, and some pastors are still being persecuted. It is a testament to the Chinese Christian's love for God and the Bible.

When I first heard that Billy Graham's family home was to be restored and moved to the Billy Graham Library in, Charlotte, NC, I don't quite know what I expected. I guess for the time he was born, I expected a humble home unimpressive house. His home is a two story Colonial and quite beautiful.

It has been beautifully restored with beautiful shades of blue and the home was quite beautiful and warm. Billy Graham was in no way a poor struggling dairy farmer, but was quite well off, for his time.

The home is a throwback in time, as each room including the kitchen, has authentic appliances. Pictures of friends family crusades, school chums, and famous men and women, covered the walls, of the home.

Christmas time is a wonder time to bring the family to the Billy Graham Library where you can ride in a horse and carriage, experience caroling and a live Nativity scene.
