The Coronavirus has Ripped Through a Nation Like a Double Edged Sword

In the beginning days of the Coronavirus pandemic, little heed was taken by our government. The president said it was a hoax by the Democrats and so the next six months people have lived in hell.

The world was silenced by shutting down every single business unless it was for medical care, food or prescriptions. Our economy went down over night and is still struggling. Millions of people were out of work and bills could not be paid.

After shutting down the world we were asked to do one job. Stay Home! People took to the streets demanding our rights be given back by opening the states. They felt our rights were being violated so they protested unmasked and some even came down with the virus and died.

The simplest most common way to stop the spread of disease is to wash your hands, don't touch your face and stay home. It couldn't be easier.

A couple of months went by and the government decided that it was time to open the states back up but they had no control over the virus and still don't. The saddest day when Florida had over 18,000 new cases of Covid in two days.

Thousands of people are dying and millions more have contracted this virus and now are separated from their families.

What are we doing people to help stop this virus? Not enough obviously. You are being asked to wear a mask not a straight jacket. One mask could save 35,000 lives. What rights are we taking away from you by asking you to wear a mask?

While many Covid strains are the common cold, the Coronavirus is not. Once you contract it, it can be deadly. Keep yourself confined if you have any of these symptoms.

Most common symptoms include:

• Fever

• Dry cough

• Tiredness

Less common symptoms:

• Aches and pains

• Sore throat

• Diarrhea

• Conjunctivitis

• Headache

• Loss of taste or smell

• a rash on skin, or discoloration of fingers or toes

Serious symptoms:

• Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath

• Chest pain or pressure

• Loss of speech of movement

Seek immediate medical attention if you have serious symptoms. Always call before visiting your doctor or health facility.

On average it takes 5–6 days from when someone is infected with the virus for symptoms to show, however it can take up to 14 days (WHO2020)

You also may not even feel sick but still could carry this disease. Wash your hands, don't touch your face and keep six feet away from others.

Working in a hospital I see the eyes of the weary. The sweat running down faces because they have to be in full dress to take care of Covid patients. Its not comfortable, they are not only caring for your loved one but they are probably the last face they will see before they die.

Thinking about my family, I would feel horrible if I could not be with them because of this virus.

The best way you can help us is to stay isolated and if you need something from the store order it online and have it delivered. Most places are not charging a delivery fee. For the love of mankind, please where a mask if you have to go outside. Be vigilant for you and your family.

We have to become the voices now for the voiceless. If you are having symptoms there are many free places to get tested.

This virus has spread all over the entire world with no end in sight

We have seen the war between both Democrats and Republicans regarding getting money into people's hands that are without jobs. Many people are being evicted and resorting to living in the streets. We have also seen the president daily make a fool out of himself. He has not been a leader by far. This is not up for debate. Having an election rally in the middle of a pandemic is careless. I will not approve comments for this article. This is only my opinion and it doesn't have to be yours, however I don't expect rude comments on this matter.

They passed a stimulus bill that was a huge disgrace by giving Americans $1200.00 and businesses up into the millions. Business's that are still not open. I am not into politics, however something has to be done.

Government has opened our country back up and Covid cases are soring to the top of the charts. It was too early. A dead business owner is not helping the economy. People are not trying to help themselves.

This is only my opinion and not to be argued over but I feel all businesses should demand people to wear masks or you are not allowed to enter the establishment. A mask is harmless. They come in many shapes and sizes. You don't have to have an N95 mask to keep you safe. People's lives are depending on us to keep them safe.

I am asking everyone to please stay home unless you absolutely have to go out for food, medication and to see your doctor. Help me help you by staying home.
