The Stereo In My Head

Updated on June 7, 2014

Are you listening to the voice in your head or is someone else holding the loud speaker for you?
Are you listening to the voice in your head or is someone else holding the loud speaker for you?

Stereo Head

The shape of a human head.
The shape of a human head.
You set your own volume.
You set your own volume.

On Loudspeaker

The stereo is on in my head.

You know that loud speaker that continues to play? As humans we are entertained by the thoughts in our mind all the time. It never turns off as it seems unplugged and commercial free. There are times I wish I could unplug and just appreciate me, without judgment, and without analysis.

I sat back and pondered the distinction between the brain and that of a radio player. The thoughts of my mind began to wander, like a horse outside its pasture. I was intrigued by thoughts of connections and conductions, impulses and reactions.

Stay with me here as I take a brain dive into this. The electricity it takes to generate a radio player in collaboration with its sound waves and tuning amazes me as we can pick up so many different radio stations from a radius margin . Then you have the new XM radio stations that go uninterrupted and almost limitless as one can set their dial to a huge range of stations from a larger radius.

Don't leave yet, my mind is taking us on a trip..........

If the human brain is so very intelligent and very connected - who is to say that we could not tune our mind/brain frequency and tap into other realities in other places. No I am not on drugs ( Possibly this is where quantum physics steps in?

If we center our being and quiet the mind, we have control to think, do and be, anything and anywhere we want. Here is where we are able to step into our own power and create the reality that we wish for. As the saying goes, "Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it and more".

If we are able to have a brain where fibers of the brain conduct nerve impulses away or to a nerve cell like that of electrical conduction, is possible that we can tune into a frequency of choice. As you or I set the dial and adjust the volume we tune into a frequency that is soothing to our soul. A frequency that eventually radiates from our aura - a vibrational frequency. As a human being in todays day and age, I wonder how many years it will take before we as a whole, are all able to tune into different stations in our mind by control?

Are you still with me?

Lets take the record player or the CD player for modern times; The needle on the player can play the record/CD from beginning to end. You and I are the one who choose to hit the repeat button as we do. What about playing songs of choice, we choose the track we want to listen to and sit back and enjoy listening. What if the record or CD has a scratch on it or is soiled? Then the record/CD will skip.

Folks, our mind is no different! The record player/CD player is an extension of the power we have over our minds!! Truly this is so! Our minds are so very powerful that we certainly do have control over our minds. If there is any control we have as a human being....this is it: The power of the mind and we owe it to ourselves to embellish this gift. This is easier said then done as we take on the power of our minds it is a constant discipline. A puppy in training may be the clearest correlation.

So my hypothesis here is that, in todays day and age, how is it that only few of us are awake and can relate to what I am speaking of? Where others have tuned out in second paragraph (maybe)? What is it that we need to do or to be as a society so that we are all able to tap into this awake stage of reality and push it forward? Is this even possible?

And further more.....we are what we feed our minds! We can only think something only if it is heard of, seen, or taught. Then there is Gods voice that comes in over head and taps us to remind us that he is number one and not us. But with all due respect and for the love of God, I shall leave this for another article another time.

Interesting, inasmuch as we act upon what we think we are, as defined by our thoughts - if one has a ' radio head ', then as another song goes by ' The Verve ' "....I'm a million different people from one day to the next....."

though some of those thoughts, translating into words and actions are not always within the remit of one's own control.

There is the obvious limitations on the ceiling of personal ability, and I suppose part of the fun and journey of life is finding the forte of ones own ability(ies), and extending that into the world we live in, hopefully productively; the ocean of thought each individual has access to sure makes for interesting living, and how we all ' work it out ', and interact with others seems to be part of life's great tapestry of being. The mind certainly is a fascinating piece of kit.

      Best Wishes,

      Ahh what GoldL(ightning).

I hear the message of your brain and reflect on alas the one quantum theory you have left in space, a non conductive medium and that is Chaos Theory …a thing that has it’s influence on many a mind. Now lets take a mind of a Sociopath, alas they run rather colder than most in the frontal lobe, and therefore their energy to radiate their message to the world is rather less vigour than some, now some may cheer with joy at that…me among one. But what I am reading is passionate and oh so full of energy, I hear it without reading…a tune so full of human empathy that I am blown away….and like a Medium will leave the future space of time a passionate endeavour to communicate a Harry Chapin LP …will you buy it for 99c?

So true BlossomSB! Our thoughts seem to be a continual background noise and interferes with listening to that still small voice of God .

An interesting hub on a different kind of topic. I suppose that God needs a loud speaker to get through to us sometimes, so that we take notice and listen to Him, but there is always that 'still, small voice' as well.
