Speaking from Experience with On-Line Campus's

Are you working a Dead-end Job? Do you have Children? Are you Paying Rent, or Have a Mortgage?

If so, have you considered returning to college to further your education, so that you can get a better job or a promotion at your current job? But your responsibilities always seem to get in the way. If this sounds like your situation, then you might want to think about trying an on-line college.

On-Line colleges are designed specifically for the student whose life is already too demanding, and their life does not allow much time for anything else. Well attending an on-line campus makes it possible for you to complete your degree program, right from your own home, and from your own computer, on your own time, and at your own pace.

Due to unforeseen circumstances at the rip old age of 15, I had to drop out of high school and become an emancipated minor, but in order for me to become emancipated, I first had to obtain a GED, so I did. Then it was time for me to find a job, but without a college education every place that I applied turned me away, and the only place that I could find work was at a fast food restaurant, which was wiling to pay me $6.25 an hour.

Six dollars and twenty five cents an hour, was hardly enough for me to live off of. So I decided to go to college to further my education and applied at the nearest college. Uncertain of what it was that I wanted to learn or do, I simply selected a Business Administration major. Unbeknown to me at that time, a Business Administration Diploma wasn't the same thing as an associate’s degree.

Once I had accomplished my Business Administration Diploma (2004), I still couldn't find a job, because then most jobs were asking for either an Associates degree or a Bachelors degree, neither of which I had.

Meanwhile during my attendance at that college, I decided to get certified in something, anything that could at least help me to find a temporary job, just to make some extra money, so I received a Medical Information and Insurance Specialist Certification (2006). And after all of that, I had to return back to school, only to learn that I had to start all over again.

That's when I enrolled in on-line classes at CTU (2007), which stands for Colorado Technical University On-line, I got my Associates at CTU, then went on to get my Bachelors degree in Business Administration with an Information Technology concentration, (2009) and now I'm studying to get my Masters in Management with an Information Security Systems concentration (2013).

I'm currently employed by Enterprise Holdings, as an International Reservationist, and I also have a small computer repair business which I operate from my home. Upon my completion with my Masters in Management degree, I intend to continue on at CTU and get my Doctorates degree.

I have also applied for and recieved many scholarships, and grants, and student loans, which I have recieved that have assisted me on my journey through school. My intentions also include upon completion of my PhD, to continue on operating my computer repair business from my home, but recently, I have decided to teach as an on-line college professor at CTU, because that is where I gained the most out of my education, and I plan to give back some of what I have learned from CTU On-line, to others.

The professors at CTU were more then willing to assist me with anything that I found difficult to understand, and the virtual campus was very easy to maneuver around in. The learning lab at CTU also provides a very reliable source of learning material, with instructors on hand who are always available to help you.

So for anyone who is considering returning to school and really does not have the time to commute to and from a college campus on a daily basis, perhaps an on-line degree program may be the right choice for you.

I hope that the information which I have provided proves to be of useful to anyone who is considering returning back to college. I'm a firm advocate of higher education, It is my belief that no one can advance in their chosen career or even apply for a higher level promotion at their current job, without first furthering their education.
