Thinking Things Out

Updated on April 8, 2010

Look before you leap

 This old expression holds true

We live in a world where everything we do is watched and viewed

We all try to make are mark on the world and help people in some way

If it is talking, writing, listening or just being there for someone we care

There are so many lessons to be learned time and time again

We try not to forget what is right but from day to day

 Now and then

Things slip away and the good becomes a little blurry

It is at these times we have to slow down and take stalk in who we are

Who we love and who we want to be tomorrow

We see ourselves in the mirror everyday

Lets take a closer look from within

What if a mirror could see the reason why we did what we did

If it could see are purpose to help not hurt

Then this would be the mirror I want on my bedroom wall

One that can see honesty and love and respect

The years pass by before we know it

Spend your time wisely

The friends that we meet may come and go

Are family may grow in number

But who we are never changes

Look into the mirror what do you see

Are you really and truely happy?

If not change can take place

Only if you still have a face

Reflecting upon yourself is so important - but as you rightly point out you can't do this with a normal mirror!

MFB ||| You have me beat.I think all the time and write all the time. Many times I write so much I think what I wrote is what I said and What I said is what I wrote.I have so many thoughts flying through my head i forget what I talked about the day before and I am always on to something more. Each day is a new inspiration and a new direction.I marvel at your work and dedication.I have just recently used the power of the lap top instead of a word processor.Only because it broke.I am so old fashioned.I don't want the new when the old still works fine.I have to wait till something breaks to try new.I have always been an extremist at one thing or another.Well what I came to say is Thanks for the long comments and I know you are so busy.I think when I make it rich I will have secretaries for each of the hubbers for a day so they can just dictate what they want to say.No work involved.Just like being in an automatic car wash after washing your car for years.Talk soon.

yeah, I'm guilty of not thinking things out. I hold a lot of things I think about inside, sometimes way past their expiration date, which is why I suppose I write poetry. The cork that would let what I think out, pops and then I am writing all my thinks in a mad rush to not lose my train of thoughts. I think that's what I meant. Anyway your hubs got me thinking out loud, and that's good...right?? LOL~MFB III
