Time Travel: Is It Possible?

Updated on November 2, 2011

Time Travel

I am starting a series of hubs in which i'll explain laws, myths, possibilities and everything related to this time travel theory. I wonder how can a person travel back in time and can make things right. A large number of movies had been made on this topic most of which explain the related laws to make their films conceptual. Not every theory in this field is working, because every time a scientist tries to fix this matter a certain obligation comes in his way. Nobody knows what this theory will lead us to in the future.

Well! this is the first hub and i'll not go in too deep. So, let's first discuss the possibilities of this puzzling time travel theory. Some people have already concluded that time travel is not possible but before looking at the conclusion we must get the theory and its possibilities right."The short answer is that time travel into the future is not only possible, it's been done, and we've known about it for over a century," This saying of famous world renowned cosmologist made me search more about the topic.

If a person can travel with the speed of light then he can travel anywhere in time. This is the first thing i got to know in my simple learning process. But the question arises how can a person travel with speed of light? Yes, this is the thing which has become an obstacle from hundreds of years in success of Time Machine. Once i asked a temporary teacher of mine about this and she said 'yes there are machines developed now which convert human beings to light particles'. Well! don't take it seriously that was just some low quality information.

It is said that speed is one of those factors, which affect time. But a human cannot notice it as the difference lies in the billionth part of one second. I'd like to give a basic example of bullet train. The needles of a clock in bullet train will move with much slower speed as compared to needles of an ordinary clock at homes. Mass is another factor which affects the speed of time.

We've got enough theories and laws of time travel which need to be worked on. The conclusion is that 'time travel is possible only when a person can travel with speed of light and for that modernized engineering and brilliant people are required. I'll finish my hub here so that i can make more hubs to convey each concept clearly. For more information about time travel watch this space.
