GATE Exams Go Online
The GATE 2015 application process will be completely online, including the payment of fees. The supporting documents also need to be uploaded online at the time of filling the application form. To ensure the smooth and hassle free operation of the online application process, the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) has been developed.
GATE 2015
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and all the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are the organizing institutes for the GATE examinations. The operations related to GATE are managed by a zonal GATE Office at these institutes in each of the eight zones. Every year, one organizing institute is responsible for the entire exam process and coordination. For GATE 2015, IIT Kanpur will be the organizing institute.
The Gate Online Application Processing System
The Gate Online Application Processing System is an online interface that facilitates interaction with the GATE offices for any sort of student queries and services for the GATE exam. The system is regularly updated. The updates are accompanied by announcements related to the examination and are aimed at keeping the students abreast of the changes.
GOAPS Facilitation Services for Students
The portal is designed for filling up and submitting applications forms online. A good feature here is that the candidates can save a partially filled application form and resume the process after logging in again after a period of time. The necessary documents that need to be uploaded with the application form include photographs, JPEG image format candidate signature and educational certificates, such as degree certificates, provisional certificates, course completion certificates or even Pwd certificates. The status of the application form will be updated after the receipt, inspection and scrutiny of the submitted application by the zonal GATE Office.
Query Resolution
In case of any queries, the candidates can easily contact the zonal officer through GOAPS, at any point of time. Students can find information about Indian PSUs that have signed a MoU with GATE for the use GATE score as a screening tool for the recruitment of entry level engineers on GOAPS. Candidates can now check their GATE 2015 result on this page using their GATE Enrolment ID and GOAPS password. The GATE coaching centers opted for by candidates to prepare for the exams should also be able to assist them with any queries they may have.
