Unpublicised Fact: Usa Was Funding the Wuhan Bio Laboratory for Five Years(2014-19)

In 1949 the People's Republic of China became a reality after a civil war that lasted four years after the surrender of Japan in 1945. The war between the Communist Party led by Mao Tse Tung and the Nationalist Party( Kuomintang) led by General Chang Kai Shek resulted in a victory for Mao. The Americans had put their eggs in the basket of General Chang Kai Shek who was defeated and had to flee the Chinese mainland to Formosa. For the next two decades, the Americans refused to recognize the People's Republic of China and allowed Formosa to represent China in the UN and Security Council.

All this changed in 1970 when in an abrupt volte-face the United States recognized China as the sole representative of the Chinese state. In 1971 China became a member of the Security Council and after that China did not look back.

The Western powers that by the USA open their doors to China in the hope that they could tap the vast Chinese market for their goods. Their corporations also outsourced a lot of manufacturing activities to China where the goods were manufactured at 1/3rd of the price on the back of slave labor.

The Western powers never dreamt that China would renege on them and they began to treat China with kid gloves. Trade with China burgeoned And more and more countries from the West including the USA thought that everything was fine and they could take China as a partner and dominate the world.

Things do not happen as per the copybook and the West forgot that China has not forgiven the United States for backing general Chiang Kai Shek for over 2 1/2 decades. They also never forgot that in the 19th and 20th centuries the western powers along with Japan exploited China and forced unequal treaties as well as occupying Hong Kong, Macau, and Shanghai.

The Americans, in particular, began to have a lot of faith in China. They failed to stop China from going nuclear and also acquiesced to the Chinese occupation of Tibet and suppression of the Muslim Uighur revolt in Sinkiang. They also gave China a free hand in the South China Sea. The Idea was to placate China so that the United States could form a partnership and dominate the world. As I have already pointed out the Chinese were not interested in this and they aimed to set right the historical wrongs of the past and become the number-one economic and military power in the world.

As part of this mollycoddling of China in 2015, the WIV's(Wuhan Institute of Virology) National Bio-safety Laboratory was completed at a cost of 300 million yuan ($44 million) in collaboration with the French government's Centre International de Recherche en Infectiologie. This is an academic and research institute based in Lyon, France.

The Laboratory has strong ties to the Galveston National Laboratory at the University of Texas. It also had strong ties with Canada's National Microbiological Laboratory. However, something did go wrong because of two WIV staff scientists Xiangguo Qiu and her husband Keding Cheng, was escorted from the Canadian lab in July 2019. Something happened that has not been explained to date.

Once the virus broke out Donald Trump who started by calling it the "China virus" quickly toned down and began to refer to it only the "coronavirus". He also began to praise the Chinese President for being very responsive. However, US intelligence after due deliberation stated that the current coronavirus strain may have accidentally escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The claim that it had originated at a wet market in Wuhan was a lot of bullshit. This was the official Chinese line.

The cat went out of the bag when during a Sunday interview, Rudy Giuliani questioned why the U.S. gave money to the lab. This fact was not known to the American public earlier and even now many do not lay stress on it. It appears the funding commenced in 2014 when Obama was the President. The Obama administration had stopped the funding to all the laboratories which were indulging in this type of research.

Despite that, Dr. Fauci gave $3.7 million to the Wuhan laboratory. The realization has now dawned that the Americans funded WIV with millions of dollars which have now boomeranged on America and almost 60,000 Americans have died, more than that died in the Vietnam war.

Dr. Fauci has been the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984 but he appears to be a law unto himself. President Trump was asked about the matter but as is his habit he blamed the Obama administration for the donation. However, $700,000 was awarded under the Trump administration.

The intelligence agencies are convinced that the virus could have escaped from the WIV laboratory at Wuhan. The Chinese have denied it and at the same time, a request by the US for an investigation has been rejected outright. The Chinese will not allow any American scientist to come down to Wuhan to investigate the WIV laboratory.

There is enough evidence that the virus could have escaped from the laboratory. The only point that has to be checked is whether it was a genuine mistake that the virus escaped or it was a deliberate ploy. There is little doubt that after the virus broke out the Chinese did not share the information with the world or the United States. Though they had put Wuhan under lockdown, they allowed the Chinese to travel all over the globe spreading the virus. This shows dangerous thinking of the Chinese mind and one fails to understand what stopped China from alerting the world, which is now seeing almost 200,000 dead.

The last word has not been said on the subject and in due course, more facts will emerge. There is little doubt that China is in the dock but the bigger question is how the West which put all its eggs in the Chinese basket can now pull them out

The economies of the West European powers like Spain and Italy are shattered. America also is desperately trying to come to grips with this virus and its aftermath with almost 25,000,000 unemployed. China is also not allowing any investigation and in that case, the world is in a catch 22 situation. One will have to wait and see how things pan out and what action the US president can take. His options are limited as the Americans themselves have created a Frankenstein. I wonder who can cage him
