  4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
  5. Honour thy father and thy mother
  6. Thou shalt not kill.
  7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Defending Christianity IS Defending Satanism

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - The American Civil Liberties Union predicted that if the State Legislature of Oklahoma would allow a Christian monument to be placed on the green that a door would open for other religions to do the same. Little did they recognize at the time but this is exactly what would happen and what should happen.

The Ten Commandments are meant to be a set of Christian morals to live your life by that can be fairly strict living in an open minded world of 2013. We all want our freedom to choose any religion that we wish to choose do we not? Well, now that the Christian agenda of Oklahoma blindly put a monument on the grounds of the Oklahoma State Capital they have paved the way for Hindu's Satanists, Muslims, and any other religious denomination to freely have the same right to do the same. This could actually be a "monumental" move towards progression for religious freedoms within the entire United States. A lot of people from the Christian persuasion are fairly upset over this new statue that is to be erected because if you read the first commandment, it states, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." and now you can see how erecting a statue of another religion might be upsetting folks. I think this has opened the door to a plethora of possibilities if you want to think with a positive, open mind.

The Big Picture

Looking at the big picture of everything, this move by The Satanic Temple should be supported by Christians. If Christians were to fight against the monument being erected then they would cut their own proverbial throats for having their religious rights preserved when it comes to placing monuments on lawns of state capital buildings. This is actually pretty ridiculous that it is 2014 and people from other religions are still looked down upon in large part due to the overwhelming control on society that Christianity has. I am NOT knocking Christianity because that would go against my personal morals and beliefs but they really should become more adjusted to a changing of the tide in the youth of America. Believing in Satan is the same as believing in Jesus Christ as Lord or any other God that exists in numerous founded religions. I can tell you all this, believing in something with moral conviction and faith is a good thing no matter what God you choose to believe in.

If we all practiced a little more tolerance of each other regardless of skin color, race, creed, sex, or religion then this world and nation would be that much more off to a better future. Wars exist right now overseas due to religion and if we as Americans could band together and help this statue get erected that The Satanic Temple designed, then we could start on a path into the days ahead to see religious peace in the middle east. Christians have to put a little less conviction behind their minds and open up to let a little tolerance in. Working together to end religious wars is a GREAT and amazing thing that very well could be started off by this spark in Oklahoma City. This spark could ignite a nation of religious tolerance and together, things could happen in a productive and positive way.

I am not tied into The Satanic Temple nor am I tied into the Christian beliefs. I am writing my statements free of bias and I am coming at you all with the truth. Can you handle the truth no matter what must be done to preserve equal rights? This is a huge victory for religious civil rights in America and if the nation can view this situation at a better angle then it could turn into a huge victory for religious civil rights globally. We have a Muslim President and that is ok. So what if The Satanic Temple wants to place some concrete effigy on the same lawn that Christians have placed their effigy? Get over it. Look at the big picture. Stop looking at the picture that popular media paints for you.
