How do World Powers Think?

Updated on July 29, 2025

USA

“We won two world wars and the cold war and have military bases in every part of the globe. If we are attacked, we have the capacity to retaliate and hit every city on Earth. With power comes responsibility and we need to ensure peace in the world and domination by maintaining our super-power status and economy.”

BRITAIN

“We are a small island of entrepreneurs. Our empire once stretched across mass continents and endless oceans and was the envy of the world. We taught the world how to speak our language; and today English remains the language currency of the world. Today we maintain influence in the world due to our historic relationship with the commonwealth. We also maintain loyalty with our closest ally the USA who share our many values, and, came to our aid in our hour of need fighting two world wars. We too have a strong economy and military prowess to hit any nation on Earth, but we no longer have the ability to maintain a prolonged attack."

MAP OF THE WORLD

RUSSIA

“We are the largest nation on Earth and our country spans across two continents. We may not be an empire by name, but we are an empire by definition due to the sheer size of our land mass. We too fought alongside the allied powers in two world wars and won; that which we conquered we kept for a while until the West continued to conspire against us and weaken us from within. Having lost the cold-war we embraced democracy but the West still insists on dismantling our land into smaller nations thus slowly eroding our dominance. Unlike those Arab allies of the West, we have natural resources of our own that we guard without the need to succumb to Western racketeering. Our economy and milltary is strong. We too have the capacity to strike any city on Earth."

CHINA

“We are the worlds rising power because everything is manufactured in China. Our manufacturing power and cheap labour has the ability to bankrupt your industries. The Western world may have knowledge and patent designs but we have the capacity to launch cyber-attacks thus stealing your ideas and creating the future. Our civilisation and culture is one of the oldest in the world and is something we are yet to export. We are hopeful your entrepreneurs will leave your lands and migrate towards ours thus oneday bringing their expertise to China. We fought the Western powers during the Korean war of the 1950’s and is a decision we do not regret. We prop and maintain our proxy ally North Korea whom we utilise to occasionally threaten America. We too have the military capacity to strike any city on Earth, but, war is not in our interest because we have much to lose."

FRANCE

“We are the cultural hub of Europe, and along with Germany share the largest economy of the Euro. Our manufacturing skill is what keeps the Euro afloat. It is due to our cultural heritage and European Court coupled with economic strength that allows the region to flourish. We hold influence over Europe due to the single currency with all participants benefitting from our economic growth. We were once staunch rivals and an enemy to Britain, but our enmity ceased due to the loyalty Britain showed in defence of France during WW1. Our forefather Napoleon much like Hitler dreamt of a single Europe and on both occasions it was Britain that stood in the way; today we intend to fulfil Napoleons vision of a single yet strong unified Europe under a single currency and a solitary army. We too have the capacity to strike any city on Earth."
