Wind and Fire Motorcycle Club

The WInd and Fire Motorcycle Club unites Harley Davidson motorcycle rides across the United States. Founded near Santa Barbara, California in 1991, the club boasts over 4000 members and 150 chapters.

Riders come together to organize charity events in many parts of the world. These events benefit worthy causes such as medical care for children. Christmas presents for needy children are also purchased with donations from events such as a Shotgun Drawing (Dallas Wind and Fire Chapter 8), The Hangtown Firefighters "Roll the Bones" ride in Placerville, CA, and The Run for the Wall in West Virginia.

Wind and Fire Missions

Marion, Iowa, is the home of the Missions Base for Wind and Fire Ministries. WFM is comprised of a loosely organized group of churches and volunteer organizations drawn together by a desire to minister to the world through prayer and service. The Midwest Prayer Center remains open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to server the local community.The Prayer Center maintains an active schedule of events throughout the evening hours including worship services and devotional activities.

WFM associates itself in a management capacity with The CRTEC Golf Marathon, which raises funds in support of the Center to Restore Trafficked and Exploited Children. Participants can register singly or as a team to play at least 100 holes. Pledge money is collected based on number of holes completed.

Wind on Fire

British writer William Nicholson penned the fantasy trilogy Wind on Fire. The first book, The Wind Singer, garnered awards from Nestles (The Smart Book Prize) and Blue Peter (The Best Book Award). The trilogy is primarily aimed at children from 8-12, but is also enjoyed by adults. Mr Nicholson also wrote Noble Warriors Trilogy and has been nominated for two Tony Awards

Wind Gap Volunteer Fire Department

Wind Gap, Pennsylvania, is the home of the Wind Gap Volunteer Fire Department. The Wind Gap Fire Station is assigned the designation Station 35 and is located in Northampton County. This fire company provides community services in the areas of fire prevention, fire suppression, education, and safety inspections. They organize and sponsor a fund-raising carnival, a golf tournament, and a parade for the benefit of Wind Gap and surrounding areas. The Wind Gap Fire Auxiliary holds an annual spaghetti dinner at the Wind Gap Fire Social Hall.
