Societal levels are a sad event in-themselves. I realize its been around since the Greeks and probably before that. But being labeled and placed in one class because of birth or another event uncontrollable to the individual is wrong in my opinion.
Those agriculturalists you might call farmers in underdeveloped countries are the backbone of the country. At the point of growth in that countries development farming would be their most valuable asset. They would probably have not real manufacturing industry to speak of. Probably no technical industry at all.
The problem might arise in that these farmers devote so much time and effort to their trade they have no time for education or other types of social interaction which makes them more outcast than they need be. Yes this way of thinking is wrong but just because its wrong doesn't mean its not popular.
