Excellent Book on Cosmology

A Brief History of Time
A Brief History of Time

Didn't do so well at the quiz? Maybe it's time to study a little! A Brief History of Time: From the Big Bang to Black Holes is a bestselling science book by the brilliant theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking. It explains how scientists are trying to answer questions like where our universe came from, how and why it began, and how it 's going to end. Among the topics covered are gravity, black holes, the Big Bang, the nature of time, and physicists' search for a "theory of everything". While it covers highly complicated subjects, Brief History of Time offers good, clear explanations and is very readable.

Not very well at all, my knowledge on the solar systems needs brushing up! Just a quick question: are you sure that Venus has the highest surface temperature? I would have thought it was Mercury, what with it being closer to the Sun.

Good job on the lens, really enjoyed it. I got a 90% on the quiz, couldn't remember the primary component of the Martian atmosphere; went with methane. Think I was remembering data about how to rapid terraform Mars and got my chemicals mixed up, ah well.

The question about the planet with the highest *average* temperature was cleverly phrased. It almost got me. Still, I missed the cosmology questions and only got 7 out of 10.

Good quiz, I aced it. Brief History of Time is a good book. Cosmos and Pale Blue Dot by Dr. Carl Sagan are excellent as well (more general audience).
