Has this recession honestly peaked and possibly even be turning around... (more follows)...

...or have we possibly only seen the tip of the iceburg? Oil prices are on the rise, which will cause the price of everything else to spike, interest rates are being kept low, but that's causing inflation... yet if we raise interest rates to stop inflation, that increases the interest on the payments of the trillions of dollars of debt we already can't afford... where is this all leading?

According to Bernanke, it will take four to five years for recovery. Some people think that it will be sooner.

Absolutely not...you are looking at those who would zoom in on the bottom of the barrel and start to measure how far up from the bottom we vary on a given day.  Any progress upward is so minimal that it really is not worth talking about. Our economy is a submarine running on the bottom of the ocean.  We are still under power for the moment and making headway but if we do not do something soon, the engines will stop and we will be laying still on the bottom and that's where we will remain. I don't think we are out of the woods yet.  How did we get ourselves into so much debt?  Yikes!

No, unfortunately I think we've got a lot more pain to go through before it gets better.  Asking these questions and doing research (turn off the TV) will help us get through this.  There are a ton of resources out here to help us weather the storm...
