    here are the steps:
    3n-27=54+12n

    3n-12n=54+27

    -9n=81

    n=81:(-9)

    n=-9

    Hi,

    3n - 27 = 54 + 12n

    rearrange your equation (remember change side, change sign)

    3n  -  27  =   54   +  12n

    - 27 - 54  =  12n  -   3n

    - 81  =  9n (divide each side by 9 to find "n")

         n = - 9

    Ans  n = - 9

    Problem solve

    3n-27=54+12n

    3n-12n=54+27

    -9n=81

    n=81/9

    ans

    n=-9
