Earthquakes,Tsunamis & NuclearTesting: Unnatural Disasters? The movements of the tectonic plates, but, what are we doing to our world? Did we think we could abuse it forever and not pay the price? We have been drilling gas and oil; what's been filling up all the empty space? Every action has a reaction, and, although the plates move all the time, we are causing this movement to be faster and more violent. Just check the news:  SEOUL (Reuters) North Korea digging tunnels has launched 2 Nuclear tests and it is launching a third one..... What are some other disturbances that can cause tsunamis? Landslides or explosions such as underwater nuclear testing.

A tsunami is caused by the displacement of a substantial volume of water of the sea. This displacement of water can be caused by earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions, meteorites and nuclear tests.

Tsunami is a Japanese word meaning ''harbour wave'' that refers to a series of large ocean waves that hit a shoreline.
Tsunamis are caused by sudden movements of the earth that happen under the sea. Often the most destructive Tsunamis are caused by earthquakes  but causes can also include volcanic eruptions, landslides or even a comet hitting the sea.
