Are lie detectors allowed in a criminal court case in the USA as evidence?
The Fifth Amendment of the US Constitution states that no person “shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself
no - but not because of the 5th amendment - dna, blood samples, etc can be used.
rather it's because polygraphs are not a science - results vary by who gives the test, and are not reliable
