Should the US sell off their National Parks to pay off the deficit?
Should our national wildlife reserves and parks be sold off or used a way to gain and sell money making natural resources such as gold, oil, ore, copper, etc.?
No, no, no!!!!
Our national parks are the only beautiful, natural things we have left in this country. The pristine beauty of the landscapes and wildlife are things families can share and treasure for a lifetime. No money is worth that.
No, that would be most definitely foolish for the long-term health of the country -- and, considering the size of the national parks, will adversely impact the health of the entire world much more than the financial issues.
I think we should sell off our politicians -- think anyone would bid? Then again, I'm one of those crazy people who is of the opinion that there shouldn't be a federal government at all. State governments are far easier to customize to the needs of each region, and being much smaller they're much easier to manage -- like creating and sticking to realistic budgets.
Absolutely not!!! I certainly hope that is not even a serious consideration by anyone!
