Metallurgy in zero g?
I read somewhere that ball bearings can't be made perfect on Earth because of gravity, but if they would be virtually perfect if made in zero gravity.
I would like to take this to the next level. What kinds of new metal alloys could be made in zero g that won't mix in Earth's gravity? Like maybe mixing Lead & Aluminum. Something like this could help shield the Astronauts from X Rays. Have experiments of this nature already been tried on the ISS?
