The answer is 1. This is because if you put 8 to the power of 2 divided by 8 to the power of 2 it equals 8 to the power of zero. If you put it into equation, 64 (from eight to the power of 2) divided by 64 equals 1. The only exception though to this rule is zero.

x^0 = 1 for any x not equal to 0.  If x = 0, the expression is usually defined as 1 for mathematical consistency since the limit of the function x^x approaches 1 as x approaches 0.
