    What is the correct definition for Diagonal Matrix?

    I know that a diagonal matrix is one in which all elements except those on principal diagonal are 0.
    If there is such a matrix where all elements except those on principal diagonal are 0, AND 1 ELEMENT ON PRINCIPAL DIAGONAL IS ALSO 0, Will that matrix be called a Diagonal Matrix?

    In linear Algebra, a diagonal matrix is a matrix in which the entries outside the main diagonal are all zero. The diagonal entries themselves may or may not be zero. Thus, the matrix D= with n columns and n rows is diagonal.
