Marks oriented education or knowledge based education. Which will you choose for your kids?
I give lot of importance to marks but somewhere I feel that I am wrong.
Is it possible to have a combination of the two? Yes, knowledge is important but I would also like kids to enjoy getting a high mark. I think if kids are only taught whatever they need to pass particular tests, then their being cheated in their overall education.
I think education should be knowledge based but that they should also be tested on that knowledge.
