Going to make a physics study sheet article- which topics do you think students most struggle with?
Which topics in general physics university topics do you think most students struggle with? I'm trying to make awesome, simple study sheets students can use in conjunction with practicing problems.
This is said with jest marixotoni. The most troublesome area regarding physics has to do with momentum, acceleration, energy, time, and power. Those when added to a cell phone equal a disaster. If the physics were understood then understanding may be realized.
I ask forgiveness for this example. I think what I am leading to is physics in everyday life is overlooked so much. Most think space capsules, trips to the moon, and such. The energy of boiling water and a child grasping a pot handle would be nice to know.
Or, that more heat is required to stop a car than to make one go. If someone understood that is accomplished with maybe a contact patch area of brake material and the coefficient of heat being used amazing things may arise. That contact area is only on average 24 square inches. Yet the heat needed to stop is exponential.
Even the way the eye glass lens works or that of a camera is amazing. The difference between a convection oven and a microwave for cooking. Even the difference of energy consumption between a gas oven for 10 minute warm up time + 25 minutes cooking at 325º F vs the energy for electrical power of a microwave or contrast with convection. Steaming veggies vs grilling veggies on a George Foreman Grill offers opportunity too.
The amount of difference in energy consumption with the A/C on and drapes closed vs. A/C either off. Maybe the change in ambient temperature with drapes closed and A/C on and the BTU conversion to watts and billing. There are a plethora of possibilities.
However, those examples are just a bit of pondering. Even the amount of energy to paint a house and the savings in heat over the next "X" years may pay for the "New" improved materials used. Ceiling cracks do help. I'll think a bit and byte more after I rev up my motor with some carbohydrates from 2 cups of apple slices knowing it is a lower glycemic index than a cup bananas slices. I may get farther down the road even though the 2 cups of apples is half the calories.
I am sure there are many more. I may be stuck on a loop with heat, energy, power, momentum, acceleration, and time.
I think its Schrodinger's wave equations, it's derivations and related stuff, as well as I suffered lots of Confusions while reading Optics.......

Do I need to have ads on in my hubs to qualify them to be chosen such as Hub of the Day? I know I was told that had nothing to do with scores on hubs but just wondered if they had to be open to ads for that?Thanks.
