Can anyone tell me what life is like socially, teaching English abroad?
Which country gave you the most excitement and why?
VIETNAM - the students actually want to learn. and they will milk every question out of you. you can even earn a lot of extra money by opening a tutoring session after school. the reason is because they are trying to get out of the country to experience more, and earn some money for their family. the joy in their faces when they actually start to understand. and the appreciation they show when you take the time to help them out. the experience is breathtaking.
me personally. i went out there for vacation and visited a lot of schools to see how things are being taught. even the english teachers ask me for opinions and criticisms about how they are teaching comparing themselves to the american school (since america sets the standards for school).
the only thing i wouldnt really know about is the housing situation. since i have family out there i never really had to worry about that.

I would like to work abroad teaching English. But the number of options of courses to take to get a TEFL qualification seems a bit confusing. Is it better applying for the most expensive or is that not necessary?
