I would have placed this opinion of mine here as an entire article, but the HubPage rule that insists work on its site must never have appeared elsewhere made it impossible. I have neither the time for nor the interest in pondering over different ways of saying the same thing. However, that which I have stated elsewhere with an entire article, I will repeat here with a few words......
The medical profession is as much of a licence to kill as it is to heal. And the Hippocrates Oath is quite often no more than The Oath of The Hypocrite.
I will give an example to buttress my point, even though initially I did not intend to. HIV/AIDS was originally a disease limited to the male homosexual community. Then (even after having infiltrated the heterosexual and the lesbian community) it became mostly associated with those in the lower-income segment of society. Today (along with ALL other sexually transmitted diseases) it still is mostly associated with men who patronise prostitutes, and men who sleep with men.
Does that make sense? Only to The Fool. I don't want to have to point out swinging, the stars of porn, the excesses of night-clubbers, the ease with which sexual gratification can be obtained via the internet, etcetera, etcetera; but - please, pretty please - who is The Fool that has thee believe the two groups of men I referred to above are they only that are of such promiscuity that it is they only that should by all natural laws be stricken by sexually transmitted illnesses?
I will answer my question.
The medical profession. AND The Fool that gave it such authority that its decisions (or would thou rather use the term, "diagnosis?") are to be subject to neither scrutiny, nor speculation.
Repeat: the medical profession is as much of a licence to kill as it is to heal.

Im curious, I think that some doctors will lie for profit. For example, you have an ear problem, you go to your ear doctor, he checks you out and says that you have something wrong with your ear and you need surgery, doctor does surgery. 3 Weeks later Your ear hurts worse than it did before, doctor...
